I had a baby carrier like this when S was a baby.  I loved it and used it all the time.  I even used it and still do for P.  To compare this baby carrier to mine was going to be easy.  I know everything about my carrier and don’t think there is a way to improve it.

The Ziraki Comfort Designed Baby Carrier is a good alternative to a higher priced baby carrier if you cannot afford it. It is recommended for babies 2 months to 32 pounds.  I started using my carrier way before P was two months old. Here is a breakdown of the baby carrier:

  • The front of the carrier that you can see looks cute and I like the color. The padding on the shoulders is nice and makes it comfortable.

  • The back straps are easy to clasp and adjust. Unfortunately, it does not give much support and the straps start digging into my back causing lower back pain and on my shoulder blades.

  • From the side are two straps that hold the front of the carrier to the back of it (the part on my stomach). The leg openings are huge. If the baby was small I would not trust this to hold the baby in. While I can tighten the strap on the bottom it does not give the security I would want for a two month old. The top strap is there to hold the babies head when they face you and then gives support to the upper half of the baby’s body when they are front facing.

  • If you look at the strap going through P’s legs it gives ample coverage on the front but is giving her one heck of a wedgie in the back. When the baby is rear facing it semi-covers the backside but rides up the front of the baby.

Overall, I do not like this baby carrier.  I put P in it for pictures and to test for this review, but would not put her back in it.  She did not seem comfortable and it did not give me any support.  I think I will stick with my current carrier and pass this on to someone else.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
