Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- I cannot believe where the time has gone. I am three months behind on doing updates for P. I started all of them but was waiting for the pictures to come back from JCPenney’s before I posted them. Somehow I just never got back to them. I am going to work crazy hard to get these done today.
- I worked really hard the past few days and got all of P’s invitations done. I need to print the address labels out this morning and get them in the mailbox before the mail lady comes.
- I decided last night that I was going to start letting P cry it out again to fall asleep. I don’t mind rocking her to sleep at night, but lately she has been fighting me and it takes longer than I would like. So I fed her, put her down and let her cry. After 15 minutes, there did not seem to be an end in sight. I went in there to clean up her face and calm her down. I tried something different and sat on the exercise ball next to the crib instead of getting her out. She leaned against me and I patted her butt. When she started to fall asleep I laid her down and continued to pat her butt. While it was not a true cry it out, it was definitely an improvement. I wonder how tonight is going to go?
- P has done a 180° when it comes to playing in the living room. She will play in the living room as long as someone is in there with her. If we leave the living room, she will do one of two things cry or crawl to the baby gate, shake it, and scream a high-pitched scream at the top of her lungs. Usually she cries for me and screams for B. Believe it or not I totally prefer the crying. That screaming actually will hurt your ears. Who knew a baby could screech that high? It must be a girl thing because S never did that. My nieces and cousins are all high pitch screamers.
