Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.
Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- So as almost everyone knows Sunday was Mother’s Day. My Mother’s Day was spent at Greenfield Village/Henry Ford Museum at the Day Out with Thomas Event. We got to ride behind Thomas the Train. Yep, as I said before it should have been called Sawyer’s Day. It was all about Sawyer, which is okay with me because he totally enjoyed himself. Without him I wouldn’t have a Mother’s Day.
- Sawyer was so excited to give me my Mother’s Day present that he whispered to me on Saturday that he got me flowers. B was bummed he told me, and I couldn’t resist and told S not to tell me what color they were (which of course made him tell me what color the flowers were). I did get my present on Saturday night because we had to leave early on Sunday for Thomas. I got a bike rack to hold books and stuff on, a bike pedometer (it tracks speed, distance, etc.), a heart frame they made at the Lowe’s build, and 3 different Tiger Lily flowers (red, yellow and orange). I think it is funny that B said he could use the rack on his bike when we went to the Farmer’s market so he could carry stuff back on it. (B, who did you really get the rack for?)
- So B lost his FitBit and wouldn’t you know it when we got home from the Thomas event on Sunday I could not find mine. I had lost mine, too. What are the odds, but nope B found it on Monday.
- We went to the library yesterday to get S some new books for the week, and I was on the hunt again for a book the library said I still have but know I already returned. Here is some background on that. Twice now I returned books and the library said I still had them. I knew that I had returned them. I can say that is one thing I am very good about is keeping track of library books. So in the past I have gone and got the book off of the shelf, brought it up to the counter, and told them here is the book you say I still have (politely, of course). They confirm that it is indeed the book I supposedly did not return. When I ask them they say this never happens and apologize. This has now happened to me three times in one year (including today). Seriously, I just wonder how many more times this is going to happen to me? How many times has it happened to others where they end up paying for the book because they cannot find it at home? (This could go in Troubled Tuesday, but it is a crazy thing that keeps happening to me.)
