Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.
Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- How sad is this, but if I had not watched the Grammy’s last week, I would have had no idea what Bruno Mars looked like and wondered who was on the half-time Super Bowl show?
- In the state I live in (Ohio), they have adopted these snow levels 1, 2, & 3. Level 3 is the most severe and is rarely ever used. However, Toledo, is in Lucas County and they have called a Level 3 for last night in the anticipation of the severe weather we were supposed to get. I would say that is jumping the gun. Yes, I did expect the weather to be bad, severe enough for a Level 3 that had yet to be determined. Here is how each level is classified.
Snow Emergency Classifications
LEVEL 1: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be icy. Motorists are urged to drive very cautiously.
LEVEL 2: Roadways are hazardous with blowing and drifting snow. Roads may also be very icy. Only those who feel it is necessary to drive should be out on the roads. Contact your employer to see if you should report to work. Motorists should use extreme caution.
LEVEL 3: All roadways are closed to non-emergency personnel. No one should be driving during these conditions unless it is absolutely necessary to travel or a personal emergency exists. All employees should contact their employer to see if they should report to work. Those traveling on the roads may subject themselves to arrest.
- I totally thought PINCHme was a scam where you would enter your email address and never get free samples. Well I have signed up for three boxes now and I totally got my first box. It only had a coffee sample, but I got it. I have Suave lotion, Kotex samples coming in one box and just signed up for another box with Suave lotion and a face mask. The next time they are releasing free products is Feb. 18th.
- B really wanted S to take a nap yesterday which he really needed. S took a nap good 3 hour nap, but at 11:30pm last night S was still awake. He had been in bed since 9:30pm, and just could not fall asleep. At 11:30pm B relieved me and around midnight I finally put him in my bed so I could lie comfortably and read while trying to get him to fall asleep. He did fall asleep about 12:20am and was up for the day at 7:15am. It has made for a very long day.
- I tried making monkey bread today and no matter how I cook it, or what I cook it in, it never seems to work. I made a small batch in a glass container cooked it for 30 minutes and the middle was still raw. I am giving up on monkey bread. No matter how good it is, it never seems to work out for me. I really wanted some doughnuts so I thought this would be a little better for me than a doughnut. All that hard work and I still had to dissect it and get the raw pieces out to cook again.
I just don’t like monkey bread. Its a staple from my hubbies family and I even got him a nice container to make it in from william sonoma but I just don’t get it and don’t like it. I can’t make chocolate chip cookies from scratch. They taste fine but they never flatten right. LOL I’m fine with all other cookies but those little buggers just don’t do right. My hubby calls then chocolate chip lumps. 😉 he does eat them though.
You should buy the cookie dough from the store and not tell your hubby. Tell him you are trying out a new cookie recipe and see if he can figure it out. Lol
