Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.
Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- So I went to the TMJ specialist yesterday. The same one I saw 20 years ago and it was the same story. He spent 5 minutes with me of the “2 hour” appointment to tell me that I have jaw pain and he can give me a new mouthguard and Botox. After everything he quoted me it will be around $4,000. That is crazy. The worst part is you have to pay out-of-pocket and then submit everything to your insurance company yourself. I have to contact my insurance company and see how much they will cover. Every time I would have to see him to adjust my mouthguard (which will happen probably monthly until it is tweaked just right) would be $135. Yeah, same old story with no resolution at the end. He also said this may help with the sleep apnea diagnosis but I would probably still need to wear a CPAP machine with the mouth guard.
- B took S geocaching yesterday at Sawyer Park. Neither of them had ever been and they both really liked it. I see them doing this again in the near future.
- As I was sitting here typing this (Tuesday night) I started getting sharp pains behind my left ear. I know that it is probably because my jaw was aggravated today when they examined it but these sharp pains are a first for me.
- P is going crazy wanting to style my hair and then have me do hers. I have always wanted to do her hair in crazy ways and now I have gotten the chance twice in two days. I hope this keeps up when she goes back to school.
