Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.
Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- I am excited that Halloween is next week. Not really for Halloween, but for the clearance shopping afterward.
- We had S’s parent/teacher conference last night. They did student led conference, where S walks us through everything and leads the conference. It was fun to watch him give his presentation in front of us. He is just like us in every way. As he is up there B and I could both see it. The downside for us was because S was in the room we couldn’t talk to his teacher and ask questions that we didn’t want S to hear. That’s the time where the teacher can tell you the stuff he is really good at and the stuff that needs improved on. That is the time where we can ask,
- How is he at reading compared to where he should be?
- Does he behave okay in class?
- Are there any issues we should be worried about?
- When P and I went outside to get S off the bus and were surprised by all the packages we found outside the gate. I went to carry the packages in the garage and couldn’t even pick one up. P thought she could help me but of course she couldn’t. It was cute.
- We have found a super easy way to get P to brush her teeth. Brushing teeth has always been a fight. It is a battle we do every day. She got a treat (candy-sucker) on Monday. When it came time to brush her teeth we told her if she wanted anymore treats she had to let us brush her teeth. She opened her mouth wide and let me go to town. It was like that last night and I hope going forward it continues.
