Wild Wednesday

Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.

Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:

  • I took P to her 2-year well check visit today.  She was such a good girl at the appointment.  She walked right into her room, got on the scale, and got her height measured.  She sat there while the doctor checked her and did not make a peep.  That is totally not P, she is loud and usually a monster.  At the end of her visit she had to get her finger pricked to check her hemoglobin and lead.  The nurse pricked her finger and she just stared at her finger and then the nurse.  She never cried or made a peep.  The nurse said she is one of the best babies she has ever had to prick.  She just sat there.  Where is the P that I know?  I like this girl.  We got in the car and she turned back into the monster I know.  She was screaming and crying the whole way home.  I knew she was in there somewhere.  Maybe we should go to the doctor’s office more often.
  • This cat is crazy!  When B goes to bed at night he kicks Dash out of the bedroom.  If he doesn’t the cat will pounce and attack him non-stop.  It is like she knows B has to go to sleep, so the minute he is just about to drift off she will jump on his head or attack his feet.  I think it is funny because when I bring her to bed with me she just lays right down and snuggles up to me.

  • As I was trying to finish this before midnight (it didn’t happen) S woke up and was crying.  When I went to check on him I always dread that he is going to say that he wet the bed.  That has only ever happened twice (knock on wood).  First he hurt and laid down on his chair in his room, then he had to go to the bathroom, then he didn’t want to do that anymore (after he was done), then he was hungry, and finally he was tired.  I convinced him to go back to bed and I would come lay in bed with him and read my Nook.  By the time I turned the computer and TV off he was already back asleep.  I have no idea what he was dreaming about but it must not have been a good one.
  • S has been asking B to make him chili.  He doesn’t like to eat our chili because we have meat in ours.  So B made a batch for him on Monday.  We were going to freeze a bunch of it but between him and his sister they have had it for dinner and sometimes lunch for the past 3 days.  They refuse to eat anything else.  You know what they say about beans!

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
