Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.
Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- I cannot believe we had thunderstorms yesterday. It is rare that we ever have lightning and thunder in February. It wasn’t just a little either. It lasted for about 6-8 hours. It was a nice little treat for me. P made the funniest faces every time she heard the thunder.
- P is petrified when she get in the bath anymore. It started about a week ago and has progressively gotten worse every day.
- A while ago it started with having to have the bath mat in the tub or she wouldn’t sit down.
- Last week it was kneeling in the tub instead of sitting.
- Then it was kneeling and holding onto the side of the tub.
- Saturday it was crying, kneeling, and holding onto the side of the tub.
- Sunday it was full-fledged crying, kneeling, holding onto the side of the tub, and sticking her head out of the tub.
- Monday I made her lie down in the tub on her back. She cried the entire time, but did not go crazy. I gave her, the entire bath with her lying in the tub.
- Tuesday was freaking out the entire time she was getting a bath. B was giving her a bath and I had to go in there with him just so they both didn’t freak out.
I think we may have to try a shower tonight and see if it is any better or worse. B wants to put her in an empty tub to see if she freaks out.
- P has been riding her rocking pig like crazy. She rides it every chance she can when she is in her bedroom. B brought it out to the living room and she probably rides it 3-5 times a day. She turns the music on and rocks to the pig singing. S and I know the words by heart and we just sing along with the pig when it moves its mouth.
- I am still really debating about getting another dog. I miss my little Derby so much. Maybe we will dog sit next weekend when B has the weekend off. I think I will try to arrange it this weekend for next.
- B is still going to Meijer almost daily to check and see if the toy clearance went an additional 50% off. So far it hasn’t but he has hopes for it. I do too, since I didn’t get one toy at the Target toy clearance. That is when I buy the majority of my gifts for the year. This was a first in 6 years I haven’t bought toys at the Target toy clearance in January.
