Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.
Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:
- So S has his 100 day celebration at school next week and they are doing capes. Each child is supposed to have a cape with 100 items on it. They gave an example of 100 stickers. Well I wanted to do 100 Hot Wheel cars. S was excited about them. When we took 100 cars and hung them on a blanket off his back he said they were way too heavy. We threw out a bunch of ideas view master cards, pennies (B was going to drill a hole in them); Lego pieces, pencils, erasers, stickers, and then I said Lego wheels.
- S liked the idea of Lego wheels (B had enough from when he was a kid) so Tuesday we cut a piece of material to the size he wanted. In my OCD ways I measured and marked lines on the back of the cape so the tires would be equally spread out and in uniform lines. I spent Tuesday night hemming the sides and bottom of it. The top I hemmed creating a loop to hold some kind of rope in. I had every intention of writing this post then, but I worked on the cape until I was ready for bed.
- Wednesday every moment I had I was sewing wheels on the cape. I finally gave up about 1am and I had about 7 wheels left to do.
- Thursday I sewed the final 7 wheels on the cape and put one of B’s belts through the loop I made so S can adjust the cape to how tight he wants it.
That is why I did not get a chance to post this Tuesday night or Wednesday.
