Wild Wednesday

Wild Wednesday is about all the crazy or unbelievable things that have happened in the last week to me, in the news, pop culture, etc.

Since last Wednesday here is what has happened:

  • P is going to be a year old in a month. I cannot believe where this year has gone. I really need to get a jump on making her invitations so I can get them in the mail. We don’t plan on doing big birthday parties every year, but this is her first birthday so I am making an exception. S had a skating party for his first birthday. (We love to skate and the skating rink let us push S around in a stroller.)
I dont want to grow up!

I don’t want to grow up!

  • Somehow this house is just getting away from B and me. I have no idea where the hours go in the day. How in the world do people get it all done? Here is a breakdown of what my day entails.

Our daily schedule give or take:

B goes to work

8am-9am-P gets up, I get up, and S has breakfast, maybe drop off at school

9-10:30ish-I get a shower, eat breakfast and it is usually time to get P read for her first nap.

10am-11am-P goes down for her first nap for usually an hour or two.  I try to take a nap at this time too because of getting up at night with P.  If S is not in school he gets to play on his tablet.

12pm-1pm-P eats lunch and S usually gets a snack (he’s not much of a lunch eater and likes to snack throughout the day).  This is usually my first chance to get on the computer for a half hour, maybe an hour if I am lucky.  Lately, we have been going outside to play before P’s second nap so I don’t even touch the computer.

2pm-4pm-P goes down for her second nap.  She is just now finally starting to take her nap in her crib.  Otherwise I lie down with her in bed for her nap.  I usually read, play on my phone, or nap with her.  S plays on his tablet and this is Minecraft time.  If we’re lucky P will sleep 2-3 hours.

4pm-6pm-When P wakes up from her nap we will head outside to play or play inside.  (B usually gets home around now from working, other days it is not until after the kids are both in bed.)

6pm-8pm-P and S have dinner.  B and I try to figure out what to make for dinner, and I might get to eat before it is bath time.

8pm-The kids start to get ready for bed.  We do baths, storytime, and then I rock P to sleep.  By the time I get P down and sleeping in her crib it is usually between 9pm-10pm.

9pm-bed-I may get two hours on the computer to write posts, check-out what is going on, and so forth.  I am usually off to bed or for P’s first night feeding and then bed.  P will get up 2-3 times at night.  Sometimes she goes right back to sleep and other nights (like last night) it took over 2 hours before she finally fell asleep.

We start the day all over again.

With that kind of a schedule tell me how in the world to get things done around the house.  How do people do it?  If I am lucky I can run the sweeper or empty the dishwasher while P eats her Cheerios or crackers at the beginning of her meal.   But that is only enough time to sweep the kitchen and living room, sweep the bedrooms and stairs, empty the dishwasher, or load the dishwasher.  I have to pick which one of the four is the most important.  That is only some days.  Other times I use that time to make S something to eat or myself lunch.  When P finally starts to take her naps in her crib you would think that would be the perfect time, but nope we have to be quiet so we don’t wake her up.  The joys of having the bedrooms on the same floor as the living room and kitchen.  Really this seems more of a Troubled Tuesday posts, but to me this falls under crazy schedule/crazy life.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
