TV Talk Tuesday

Jenny from Love My Randomness does a TV Talk Tuesday post and has so kindly let me borrow her graphic and idea.  I really like doing this post and look forward to it every week.  I could talk about a ton of shows but try to limit it to just a few.

I wanted to do a little tribute to American Horror Story: Freak Show because the season finale was last week and it got me wondering who is real and who is fake.  So I did a little research and thought I would give you a little trivia and let you try to guess who is real and who is fake.  Answers are at the bottom.

• 1.  The Siamese Twins Bette and Dot Tattler (Sarah Paulson)-Conjoined Twins who have two heads, two hands, and two feet. They can also talk subconsciously to each other.

• 2.  Ethel Darling (Kathy Bates)-known as “The Bearded Lady.”

• 3.  Pepper (Naomi Grossman)-known as a “Pinhead.” Microcephaly “Pinhead” is when your head is abnormally small compared to the body.

• 4.  Ma Petite (Jyoti Amge)-The shortest woman in the world.

• 5.  Lobster Boy Jimmy Darling (Evan Peters)-Is known for his lobster claw hands which is when two or more digits are fused together.

• 6.  The Three Breasted Woman Desiree Dupree (Angela Bassett)-She is known for having three breasts.

• 7.  Paul “The Illustrated Seal” (Mat Fraser)-He has two underdeveloped arms that are basically just hands attached to his shoulders.

• 8.  Amazon Eve (Erika Ervin)-She is abnormally large for a woman in size and strength.

• 9.  Legless Suzi (Rose Siggins)-She was born with sacral agenesis and has no legs because they were amputated shortly after birth.

• 10.  Ima Wiggles the Fat Lady (Chrissy Metz)-She is extremely overweight.

• 11.  Salty (Christopher Neiman)-known as a “Pinhead.”  Microcephaly “Pinhead” is when your head is abnormally small compared to the body.

• 12.  Meep (Ben Woolf)-He suffers from pituitary dwarfism, only says the word “Meep,” and bites the heads of live chicks.

• 13.  Toulouse (Drew Rin Varick)-He is employed as one of the “little people” who have many roles but plays the human flapjack when they perform.

 

Real or Fake

• 1.  Fake she wears a prosthetic head and uses computer technology to make both head look like Paulson.

• 2.  Fake she would get a beard put on and for some performance a red wig and beard.

• 3.  Fake she has to shave her head go through three hours of make-up and prosthetics to play a person with microcephaly.

• 4.  Real she is only 24 inches tall and as of December 16, 2011 she was declared the world’s smallest woman in Guinness World Records.

• 5.  Fake he puts on prosthetic claws that creators have modeled after Grady Stiles (the most famous Lobster Boy). Although Peters prosthetics were made longer, thicker and more grotesque than Stiles for an exaggerated effect.

• 6.  Fake a foam breast is put on and then Bassett is painted to make it look seamless and real.

• 7.  Real he was born with Phocomelia of both arms and was a rock musician from 1980-1995. He later became an actor.

• 8.  Fake she is a transgender who transitioned from male to female in 2004.

• 9.  Real she was born with sacral agenesis and had the lower half of her body removed when she was two.

• 10.  Fake she has to put on a fat suit that gives her a 105 in bust line.

• 11.  Fake he goes through two and half hours of prosthetics to play a person with microcephaly.

• 12.  Real he does suffer from pituitary dwarfism, but does not bite heads of live chicks (that I know of).

• 13.  Real he is a little person and is only 3 ft. 6 in.
