Troubled Tuesday

Troubled Tuesdays is basically my complaint day to complain about all the troubles I have, which could range from what is happening on TV shows to who knows what.   I feel like I could list a ton of stuff this week, but I will just limit myself to a few.

  • Breastfeeding is like a double-edged sword. It is great to give this special gift to your child that no one else can provide but it has its drawbacks. I cannot be away from P for longer than three hours. If I am going to be away I have to make sure I pump ahead and pump while I am away. I can’t have her being hungry, and I can’t go around in pain from engorgement.
  • We are still drinking bottled water. We no longer have toxins (above okay levels) detectable, but all the chemicals they are putting in the water to kill and filter the water is what I am trying to avoid. Last fall I did not drink the water because I was pregnant and this year since I am breastfeeding. We still make S brush his teeth with bottled water. Since B works in the Water Treater at the refinery I think we will trust him when it comes to water.
  • B is still helping out with the laundry, so when he brings it upstairs I am supposed to fold the clothes. The only problem is P and S never gives me the time to fold them. If P is happy and does not need to be held S is begging to play or do something with me. When S is content I am usually holding P because she is sleeping. When they are both asleep at night is my only chance to get on the computer and post on the blog, pay bills, take a shower, and sleep.
  • Before we had P we had the opportunity to get another minivan (we had one for a while when S was about 2) and took it. I thought we were going to need it because having two kids, and all the baby supplies, no way would it fit in a car comfortably. Well the van doesn’t work out so well when you have a newborn. It is pretty hard to reach back and hold in P’s binky. In the truck, it is so simple, and in the van you have to stretch so far. Our next car will not be a minivan. I guess we are going to go back to a regular car or small SUV.
  • Here I am sitting up late on Monday night watching more Once Upon a Time instead of going to bed. I am still on the second season, but this is an addiction I cannot stop until I am caught up. (I could have a worse addiction.)

What is troubling you?

Hi! Just was reading this and thought of our new car. We got the new Equinox. We are leasing it because if we do have another child, we will probably go to something a bit bigger. Anyway – we LOVE it. The back seat moves forward and back which was a huge seller, the leg room is great, and the trunk is a good size. Hope all is well. Ellie and I will be home the 18-28 of Oct. so we hope to see you guys then!

  • That is a good addiction to have. 😉
I’m not a minivan person either. I had a Rav4 when I only had one until we went out of the infant seat into a Britax and trying to do that rear facing made the front seat up in the dash so we upgraded to a 4Runner. It would still be a reach for a paci but since C never took anything it wasn’t as big a deal and N was great about helping with a bottle hold when I needed it or something. He loved playing big brother.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
