Troubled Tuesday

Troubled Tuesday is basically my complaint day to complain about all the troubles I have, which could range from what is happening on TV shows to who knows what.

• It is proving more difficult than I thought it was going to be to get rid of P’s binkies.  Somehow she will sneak one out of her bed or get one out of the bucket that is supposed to be out of her reach.  I think it is going to have to be we get rid of them all at once and suffer through some really long days.

• I love to take the kids trick-or-treating but why does it have to be so cold tonight.  I mean a high of 46° is not warm by any means.  It is going to be bundling up over costumes just to keep warm.  I think P may be able to put her costume over her jacket but S will definitely have to wear his jacket over his costume.
• We have been letting Dinky run around more in hopes that we can get her trained, but she has other ideas.  She never runs to the door to go outside it is up to us to remember to let her out every hour and then force her to go outside.  She will go if we put her out, but she will also go in the house if she feels like it.  I don’t know how to flick that switch in her head to make her realize she goes potty outside only.
• I love putting up decorations but when it comes to taking them down I hate it.  It is like putting clothes away to me.  I hate doing it but once it is done I am glad.
• Dash killed a baby rat on Thursday night.  After taking its picture and comparing to others online we are sure it was a rat.  She got out on Thursday and we think she went over a few neighbors where they are cleaning out an old and decrepit garage that will probably be knocked down and got it.  It makes sense that they would have disturbed the nest and the rats would have fled to the creek area.  Who knows?   I know we don’t have rats anywhere, but to be on the safe side B cleaned up and checked under the back deck just in case.  He didn’t find anything so it didn’t come from our yard.
