Troubled Tuesday is basically my complaint day to complain about all the troubles I have, which could range from what is happening on TV shows to who knows what.
- This is a big one….I was invited to be on a local Saturday morning show as a last-minute replacement. I didn’t see the email until Saturday afternoon. Wait, I could have been on TV for this little blog that only has 214 Facebook Likes and get just over 1,000 visitors a month. How is that even possible? I was totally bummed. To me that is really moving up in the blogging world. They were looking for a local Toledoan blogger, and they thought of me!
- Moving on, we finally figured out what S is going to be for Halloween. At first he didn’t want to dress up at all and was just going to wear a Halloween shirt. I was for it, but bummed because I want him to experience Halloween as a kid for as long as he can. S then came up with the idea of being a train. I was not sure how we could pull that off because how would he go up and down stairs with a big box on him. It was going to be a big tripping hazard. Yesterday I came up with the idea and asked S, “Do you want to be a railroad crossing?” He was all for it and is now so excited to be a railroad crossing with blinking lights and everything. B and I can totally pull this off for him.
- We are headed to Columbus on Saturday for a wedding and still no hotel rooms have opened up. I thought for sure someone would cancel. There is a home Ohio State football game so it is not like the entire hotel is full of wedding guest. Don’t people back out of games? Maybe not.
- Yesterday we were outside waiting for S to get picked up by the bus. He usually gets picked up between 12:15 and 12:25pm. At 12:30 I began to get worried they forgot him. School starts at 12:45pm and S is in the middle of the route. At 12:35pm I told B to take S to school. I would wait for the bus. If it came I would let them know we thought they forgot S, if it didn’t come and was at the school when B dropped S off I wanted him to ask the bus driver why they forgot him. B got in the car and left at 12:40. When he rounded the corner by our house there was the bus. S ended up getting out of the car and getting on the bus. The bus driver apologized for being late. I was totally fine with her being late, as long as she didn’t forget about S I was cool.
What is troubling you?
That is a great Halloween idea. I’m sure you saw but N was a toilet last year. So he walked up and down all the stairs with a box on him. LOL This year C wants to be a tree. I guess we should start working on that one. N wants to be a football player so that one isn’t too bad but still will require a bit of work to pull together. I really have no idea where they come up with all these things. I often wish they would be ok with going to the store and just picking out a costume.
I do remember the toilet from last year. Come on you know if they picked costumes from the store we would just be bored. It would take the fun out of it for us.
