Troubled Tuesday

Troubled Tuesdays is basically my complaint day to complain about all the troubles I have, which could range from what is happening on TV shows to who knows what.

  • So let’s talk about crazy neighbors. My one neighbor was burning (which you are allowed to do because we live in the township and not the city) and let’s just say the other neighbor was not so happy. He actually surprised me because I had just woken up with P from her nap and heard him yelling at the other neighbor. I could not figure out what was going on until I heard him yell, “Stop burning or I am calling the fire department.” I am Switzerland and there is no way I am going across the street. I need both neighbors to still like us. The one neighbor was upset because the other neighbor was burning and the ashes and smoke were landing on their car and the smoke was getting in the cars and house. I totally get it. It drives us nuts when it is so nice outside and we have to close the windows and turn on our air because of all the smoke outside. I wish the township had a burn day where you could burn once a week, twice a month or once a month. Then we could all have a heads-up and make sure we keep our windows closed. I love sleeping with the windows open and the house fan on. I sleep so much better with fresh, crisp, cold air. The air conditioner gives me stuffy noses and I hate the cold feeling you get from air conditioning.
  • S is picking up some terrible habits from other kids. Yesterday at tee ball he was hugging a kid from behind. I knew he was trying to take him down so I kept screaming (yes screaming) at him to stop. Finally the Rec Teens got the hint and separated the kids. Ugh, I hate the things he picks up from other kids. Why can’t he just learn the good and not the bad from other kids?
  • I need to make a Shutterfly calendar for P for her second year and cannot find a coupon code to make it free. With S it is so easy because they are always offering them at the beginning of the year. Next year I will do it for both S and P, for now I am going to use a generic calendar.
  • Yesterday B and I were trading off feeding P her lunch. I went to do my part and B didn’t close the microwave all the way and I walked right into it. I totally have a bruise on my forehead now so every time I move my forehead, scratch my head, or run my fingers through my hair it hurts.
  • So I have a Fitbit HR Flex. I used to have a Fitbit Zip. S wears my Fitbit Zip now, but I decided to thief it from him for the day and wear both Fitbits to see if the HR Flex is accurate. It doesn’t make any sense when I walk with the stroller because my hands are on the handlebar so it doesn’t count the steps. When I fold clothes it counts steps every time I move my hand when I am folding. It is so backwards. You spend so much more on the HR Flex and it does a crappy job compared to the Zip. Our flights of stairs in the house our 2 feet short of the HR Flex considering them a flight of stairs. So I go down four flights of stairs and it only counts for one. Every time I go downstairs it should count for two flights and I am lucky if it counts for even one.

What is troubling you?

Oh that is a good question about the fitbits. I have a zip but I wanted to get one of the bracelet kind since I feel like I’m missing a lot of steps before I put real clothes on that I can clip it to. Hmm something to consider now.

I wore both today and I usually clip the zip on my pajamas somehow in the morning. Now that I know the bracelet doesn’t work right I wouldn’t get it again. Thankfully I didn’t have to pay for it because B’s work pays for them. We wear them to get lower premiums on our health insurance.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
