I am an avid water drinker.  There are days sometimes a week that I go without drinking anything other than water.  I gave up milk when I was nursing P and since my body never really liked it anyways, I never went back to drinking it.  On the rare occasion I may have a glass but it is extremely rare.

I enjoy water.  I don’t mind the taste of it, whether it is ice cold or room temperature.  When I started hearing about fruit infusion bottles I became really intrigued.  Could I make my water taste like juice and not have to have all the calories and sugar that comes with it?

I decided to try and make strawberry water.  I took some frozen strawberries and put them in the middle tube of the bottle.  They were medium sized berries and 7 of them fit no problem.  It says to have the fruit in the water for 24-hours for the best results.  I tried the water after about an hour and it had a trace of the strawberry flavor in the water.

By the next day the water had a definite pink tint to it.  I went ahead and tasted the water.  It was not what I was expecting in a bad way.  The water tasted like old water-downed fruit juice.  The best way to describe it is when you have a glass of juice with ice in it.  You drink all the juice and all that is left is the ice.  After a few hours when the ice has melted you go back and drink the melted ice cubes with the leftover juice mixed in.  That is what this water tasted like.

I have since gone back to drinking just plain water and could not be happier.  While some who hate to drink plain water find this as a solution to drinking more water, but for us who love water, this is not something that is necessary.
