Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

• A few days ago S was so cute. He said, “We should go see Papa because P loves him so much. It will make her very happy.” Just out of the blue he says this, and she does love her Papa. She can be whiney and fussy, but the minute he gets her she is laughing and happy.
• Next Thursday is S’s 5^th birthday. We were going to have immediate family over for cake and presents, but the sheriff who saved my dad’s life when he was in a motorcycle accident is being honored that night. When I told S about it he said he wanted to go to that and maybe we could celebrate his birthday the next night. What a self-less and loving little boy!
• “Chippy” the elf has been here since Monday, and S has been on his best behavior. I somehow need to figure out how to keep an elf around all year. Every morning S wakes up and runs out of his bedroom to look for Chippy. Some days he finds him no problem and other times it will take him till the afternoon to find him. Every morning Chippy leaves something in S’s truck advent calendar depending on how he behaved the day before. I like to use Jelly Belly’s. 1=ok, 2=good, 3=really good, & a prize=a perfect angel, the first day the elf arrives or S’s birthday.

• We are taking S to Kalahari Water Resort for his birthday next week. He is excited to go back because of the water slides and the arcades. I’m really excited because it is going to be P’s first time swimming! I just hope her skin can handle the chlorine.
