Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

I have been home for over a week since my surgery and am recovering nicely. I am able to get around and have ventured out a few times. I haven’t had any problems at home (knock on wood) or with my recovery, in general.
Tuesday we got a package on the front porch and when I brought it in I told S it looks like we got a cookie basket from my brother and SIL. S’s response, “Tell them we don’t want any more babies and send it back.” We got a cookie basket from them when P was born so S just associated it with that. I was cracking up.

P has been such a treat this past week. Tuesday night she was fussy and did not want to go to sleep so I laid her in bed next to me and she passed out. We snuggled for a few hours before I put her in her bed. As I type this P woke up and is sitting in her Boppy quietly. Thank goodness she is finally starting to like to sit and not be held.

I got S outside last night after B went to work and convinced him to ride his bike around the cul-de-sac (the one without the training wheels). He did awesome riding around the cul-de-sac but every time he got to the curve by our yard he wanted to jump the curb (totally got that from his dad). I didn’t get any pictures of him riding his bike because I was busy recording a video. When it was all said and done he rode his bike for over seven minutes. I was really impressed since he is still so new at riding a bike without training wheels.
We went to a picnic yesterday for S. It was a get to know your teacher and classmates for preschool this year. I was happy to see a few moms I knew from storytime at the library so I didn’t have to not know anyone. B went with me so he could get the feel of it because he will be taking S half or more of the time to school. One of us will stay home with P and the other will take and pick up S from school.

Has anyone else been watching “Finding Carter” on MTV, Monday nights? It is so good. I like that it is a TV show and not a reality show that is not really a reality show. I love Awkward. on MTV and Finding Carter is definitely right up there with it.
