Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

• Yesterday we got about 3 or so inches of snow, but with it being New Year’s Day there were not that many snow plows out on the roads so they were not as clear as they could have been.  I knew the Christmas clearance would still only be 70% but I really wanted to check out a Target that I usually find a ton of stuff at, but you really have to dig because it is very messy and disorganized.  B asked if I wanted him to drive me there.  Okay, no problem I will just relax while you drive the treacherous roads.  I did not get as much as I would have liked, but we did get some great stuff.
• S kept hearing me talking about the Tonka trucks that were part of the Christmas clearance and when I asked him if he wanted to go to Target the first think he ask, “Can we look for a Tonka truck?”  Well I looked and looked and could not find one.  B and S went back to the toys one more time before we left and don’t you know they found a Tonka truck in the Legos section.  Awesome!!!!  S was so pumped about the truck.
• It looks like we are going to get another 5-8 inches between last night and today.  While I love getting the snow I really wanted to venture out to Target in hopes that Christmas would go down to 90%.  If it does go down and with as few people who ventured out yesterday because of the snow I will have great pickings because I am going no matter what if it goes 90%.
• I was able to get everything prepped to finish S’s thank you birthday cards, now with the snow today and not being able to go out (unless Target Christmas goes 90%) this is the perfect day to assemble them and get them out in the mail.
• So happy to start 2014.  This year is B and my 10-year wedding anniversary.  What a milestone!  10 years of marriage this year and a 2^nd baby on the way, what a year it is going to be!
• I started reading a new author and cannot put the books down.  I am reading Joanne Pence and let me tell you, these books are soooo good.  I would rather sit and read the books then watch TV or get on the computer.  You know that it must be one good author if I am picking a book over TV and the computer. CRAZY!!!!
