Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

• Since I now have to go to bed earlier I can no longer watch Jimmy Fallon.  Wait, yes I can.  I have DVR, so now that I am DVRing Late Night with Jimmy Fallon.  I am loving being able to watch Jimmy during the day.
• S has been spending hours every day playing in his “new” sandbox.  I love that he enjoys it so much; however, yesterday I was not happy with the fact that I caught him “swimming” in the sand.  What happen to my good little boy who hated to get sand on him and would squat in the sand never sitting in it?
• My mom and I finally found all of the house architecture pieces on the historical houses scavenger hunt.  It took some doing but we found all of them.
• Today is Target day!  I already went once this week.  I am not sure if I am going to go again, it will just depend on what the blogs are saying.
• I’m excited to go to the farmer’s market today.  I want to get more pears to make pear sauce (the same as applesauce just with pears), and peaches.  I think this may be the last week to be able to get peaches and make B his last peach pie of the year.
• I made a Mock Apple Pie this week for B to take to work with some left over pie dough I had in the fridge.  Making it I was grossed out and thought no way this is going to fool anyone at B’s work.  It did, those SALTINE CRACKERS fooled them into thinking they were apple slices.  This seems like a great pie for April Fool’s Day.  I am thinking this may be more fun at a family function like Thanksgiving or Christmas Eve.  Heads up family members you never know when I may make this again.
• The Big Brother finale was last night!!  I cannot believe that ­­­­Andy won the game. So glad Gina Marie did not win.  I wonder what the contestants are doing now that some of them found out they no longer have a job.  I will have to keep glued to the internet updates so I can find out.
