Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • It’s been a while since I have written a Thursday post.  I am determined to be more consistent and I am hoping this is the start.
  • I am hoping to get apples today down at Haslinger’s Orchard.  I love Jonagold apples and they are ready.  I am also hoping to get a few gallons of apple cider. (That should last us a week!)
  • I am so glad we got to swim on Monday and Tuesday before this cold front comes in and turns it into fall/winter.
  • Go figure the last day we spend in the pool was the first time this summer that I was able to float around in the pool and read my book.  I have wanted to do it all summer but usually I have two kids who want to swim with me and splash.  It only lasted for about 20 minutes but it was a glorious 20 minutes.
  • P did not want to go to school yesterday.  I was able to convince her to ride in the car to drop off the other girl we take to school.  She did that and then I told her she had to walk in and tell her teacher why she didn’t want to go to school.  If she did that I told her she could come home with me.  She went right into her room to the teacher and said, “I don’t want to stay because B***r is not nice to me.”  We have been dealing with another kid being mean, but I was hoping the teacher could talk her into staying.  She agreed to stay as long as I told her she could call me and come home if she didn’t want to stay.  Surprise, surprise, she stayed the whole 2 ½ hours.  When she came home she said she had fun at school.

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
