Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • S had his big buddy program tonight. Basically they match him up with a new kid so the new kid has someone to help them and a familiar face on the first day.  He was so excited and happy when I picked him up.

When I asked him if he liked his buddy he was like, “Well……”

I couldn’t believe he was being like that.  Then he said, “She never showed up so I have no idea about her.”  Go figure the one kid who could really benefit from this and he was stood up.  He still had a great time and it didn’t faze him that his buddy didn’t show up.

  • I have been saving shows so I can binge watch them all at one time. I love to just watch the same show all at one time instead of waiting for the next week to find out what happens.  Right now I am catching up on Big Brother.

  • S did great at his meeting with his teacher. They did his reading to establish what level he would start the year at.  Conveniently he didn’t know what level she said.  I think he knows and didn’t want to tell me because I told him if he didn’t read enough this summer and went down a level he would lose all electronics until he got back up to that level.  I am waiting and will email his teacher next week to ask her.
  • I made two peach pies this week. I gave one to May and the other B took care of.  I think I am going to make another pie on Saturday.  I still have enough peaches left for one maybe two more pies.

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
