Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • P and I have been able to go outside almost every afternoon this week. She contently plays by herself for a while and then sits and waits for A to get home from school. She loves playing with him.
  • S had an extra baseball practice added in tonight. I got to take him so that gave me time to work on some posts so I don’t have to do it later. I should be watching S but I tend to critique him too much so I know when I need to back away.

  • I found the second episode of The Handmaid’s Tale online today and got to watch it. It did not disappoint and now the anticipation grows for next week’s episode. It works out so well since all my regular shows are finishing up for their summer break.

  • I showed S Days of Thunder this past weekend. He really likes Nascar. He is always racecar driving on the Xbox, and loves to watch with me to see who gets the pole and who wins on Sundays. He was asking if it was ever crazier driving and more accidents. This is what made me want to show him the movie. I told him it is pretty accurate to how it used to be in the 90s when I started watching it. There are still good accidents and racing now but nothing like it used to be. It used to be about the car, pit crew, and driver. Now it really comes down to the best driver.

  • We are supposed to get S’s baseball schedule tomorrow. If that is true it would be amazing. I am literally waiting for the schedule so I can figure out the month of May for us. So many things going on and I can’t schedule anything until I know when games are going to be.
  • S has gone through another growth spurt and I just need another week or two out of his current pants until we hit short season. I hate to get out new pants and have him put holes in the pants. I really want to wait until next school year before I get them out. From having one of the shortest kids in his age group to having one above normal but not quite tall yet. It’s amazing to watch him grow.

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
