Thursday Treats

Thursday Treats is all about the best things I have had happen in the past week as far as good things, good foods, awesome finds at stores, great TV shows, etc.

  • P is getting so good at going to sleep on her own at night. Last night I fed P, and when she didn’t fall asleep right away I laid her down in her bed. I thought for sure she would cry, but she was as quiet as a mouse and I didn’t hear a peep out of her. It if continues to be this easy, I am going to love the next year of bedtimes.
  • Yesterday we went to my Aunt and Uncles for the afternoon. They asked S if he could come out and help unpack the toys and organize them. He told me this was a job he could do and was only too happy to go after school.
  • I know I have said it before but I am so proud of S scouring a goal at his game on Saturday.

  • We went to the park for the first time this spring on Tuesday. S loved running around and playing. P got to try out the swings at the park for the first time and loved it. Of course, when S was out of her eye sight she started screaming at the top of her lungs. She was not upset, but they were happy squeals. Yes, it was embarrassing because she was so loud.

Check out my Surviving As a Mom Facebook page for the screaming video

  • I managed to get through P’s 12 month clothes and start washing them. She has not officially moved up to 12 month clothes but she is close. I would rather have all my ducks in a row when she is ready and not have to scramble. She is going to be one in a few weeks, so the 12 month clothes are just around the corner.

What good things have you been treated to you this week?

Thursday Thoughts

Although I do Thursday Treats, it is pretty similar to Jen at Ramblings of a Suburban Mom‘s Thursday Thoughts, so I am linking up with her today.

Oh my how can she almost be one already. I know I’ve been reading your blog but it feels like she was just born. Yay for park weather. We’ve been going every couple of days and C loves it.

  • Stephanie says:

I love this weather. You know I have been reading your blog for too long when I tell my husband, Jenny from the Carolina’s went picking strawberries this week. You sure you don’t want to move down there? So jealous of your weather.

    • Jenny says:

oh too funny that is how I talk to my hubby too. He must think I’m crazy when I tell him what you guys did or another blogger. LOL I always say it like Stephanie from surviving mom etc and he just kind of rolls his eyes but he’s a good sport. And yes you should move down this way the weather is awesome right now but we will be dieing of humidity in a couple weeks 🙁 Then I might want to move up with you.

  • Stephanie says:

No way, I would much rather have the humidity instead of the negative weather in the winter. That weather will actually make my bones hurt. Humidity just makes you hot at least your not in pain.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
