S is always asking me hook-up a snorkel to his mask when he is swimming at my dad’s. Somehow the snorkel moves and he ends up sucking up a ton of water. I would love to be able to solve this problem for him. Now I finally can. I got this snorkel set which is a full face mask with a built in snorkel that is on the top of your head. There is no worrying about keeping the snorkel in your mouth so it stays above water, or making sure you breathe out of your mouth and not your nose. With this full face mask it doesn’t matter whether you breathe out of your mouth or nose. There is also a dry top seal to prevent water from entering the mask when submerged. The seal works with a one way drain valve in the chin to ventilate any leaked water. With the anti-fog mask you can snorkel and not have to worry about stopping to remove water from the mask or to wipe the mask clean from fog on the interior.
When I surprised S with this to try at my dad’s he loved it. It was so easy for him to put on himself. He put the mask on and slipped the elastic straps behind his head. I pulled on the straps to tighten the mask to his face. I cannot believe how well it worked in the water. He was swimming around like a fish. It was a little hard to hear him when he was talking but the mask never fogged up on him and that seems to be his number one complaint with goggles and face mask.
