There is not really a need to have a floating wrist strap on you keys you use daily because really how often are you going to be swimming with your car keys.  In this day and age not too often because key fobs are not waterproof and the minute they hit the water they are dead.

When would you need a floating wrist strap?  If you were playing on or in the water.  We used it on our boat key.  If the key sunk in the water we would be dead in the water.  They do make keychains that have a small floating device on them, but they are usually small.  With this Seafaring Waterproof Floating Camera Strap Float it is rather large and would be easy to spot floating in the water.  I like the fact that it is a wrist strap because if we were to get off the boat, I don’t have pockets in my swimsuit to hold the key but I can hang this on my wrist.

As the title says it can be used for a camera, but not that many people actually have waterproof cameras.  Since this came with two straps I attached one to B’s boat key and the other to my waterproof cell phone case.  My cell phone could easily bounce out of the boat and if I had a floating strap on it I hope I would be able to recover it.
