Sawyer 54 Month Update

Here is Sawyer’s quarterly update.

Quite a bit has been going on for S in the past three months.  The biggest is obviously that he has become a big brother!  I wish I could say it has been sunshine and roses, but no.  He is definitely had some growing pains with the adjustments.  P has now been here for a month and S is still adjusting.  We have made him the binky police and it is his job to put P’s binky back in her mouth when she is crying or fussing.  We simply yell “binky patrol” and he comes running to do his job.

S hates to clean up his own toys but has shown an interest in helping to clean the house.  We have now made it his job to sweep the stairs and he loves it.  Every time he sweeps the stairs we give him a check mark towards another visit to Chuckie Cheese.    He also wants to help clean the shower.  I only wish he was old enough to do that on his own.  He also likes to clean his sink in his bathroom.  That I am okay with.

We have been playing outside a ton.  If it is hot outside S will play in his little pool or the sprinkler.  Otherwise, S is riding something with wheels (his bike, tricycle, tractor, race car or truck).  He is so good at backing up his race car and truck.  Parallel parking is not an issue for him.  We are working on teaching S to back up with a trailer/cart attached to the back of his truck or tractor.  It is a work in progress.

S has gained a little bit of weight.  At 51 months he was 38.5 lbs and now weighs in at 40.5 lbs.  His weight does fluctuate so tomorrow he could be back down to 38 lbs.  In the past three months Sawyer has grown almost an inch and is 41 13/16 inches tall.  He is growing into such a big boy!  We really wanted to get pictures with Sawyer’s new tractor and thought it would be so cute to put Piper in the scoop.  We were right, they were the cutest pictures.  I hope you enjoy them and check back in three months for the next update and Halloween pics!

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
