Dash loves to be outside. When she was a year old I was okay with letting her out when she would sneak out. We always let Neezer (our old cat) out in the backyard because he couldn’t jump onto the fence so he never left the backyard. With Dash she is a jumper. We have seen her jump from the fence into a tree that was at least 5 ft from the fence. The past two falls I have had to take Dash to the vet because she would get in a fight with another animal and get puncture wounds that ended up getting infected. This year I am doing everything possible to keep Dash inside. I feel bad and want to let her out so I got this cat tent and thought I would let Dash hang out inside of it outside. Let’s just say that Dash hated being inside the tent. She was running against the sides trying to get out, she dug at the corners, and even tried to jump out the top. I don’t think this is going to work for Dash, maybe for more timid cats that don’t want to play and hunt.

The Roraima Outdoor Cat Tent came in a compact bag. It was super easy to set-up and took less than a minute. I didn’t feel like I needed to stake it into the ground, but if Dash was going to be in there for longer than 20 minutes I would need to, so she didn’t flip it. The tent was huge it is 75” L x 60” W x 36” H. The tent was a mesh so air could get through with no problem. I think the mesh was large enough to let mosquitos, fleas, or ticks inside. Those are the three major bugs/insects I would want to keep out and it won’t. I was trying to think of alternatives for the tent but it couldn’t be used for food because of the small opening on each side. It also couldn’t be used to put a baby in to sleep outdoors because mosquitos and small bugs could still get inside the tent.
