I love to make my own pie dough and cut-out cookies. To do this I need a really good rolling pin. I used to use a wooden rolling pin that was my grandma’s until I broke the handles off of both sides. When I purchased a new rolling pin I decided to get a non-stick rolling pin in hopes I wouldn’t have to flour the pin all the time. With the rolling pin I got it was heavy and the dough still stuck to the pin.
When given the chance to try the RollerMaster Rolling Pin I could not believe how light it was. I made cookies and thought it would be the perfect opportunity to see how it worked with dough. Unfortunately I couldn’t even roll the dough once without it getting stuck on the rolling pin. I sprinkled a little flour on the dough and it still wasn’t enough to stop the pin from sticking. Because the rolling pin was so light I had to put more weight into it to get the dough to thin out to the correct thickness. Overall I was not happy with this roller and gave it up after baking one batch of cookies. It has worked out well for S to play with when he is rolling out Play-Doh or clay.
