Every month of Piper’s first year I will do a monthly update along with showing her pictures I get done every month. I can’t believe she is already 6 months old. Where has the time gone?

P is definitely not a newborn anymore. She is now in that baby stage. Her weight hasn’t changed much. When I weigh her it is on a regular scale versus a baby scale at the doctors for an exact ounce. This is what they measured her at. So either she had a slow month or she didn’t weigh that much last month and actually grew more than what they measured. Does that make sense? P now fits nicely into 3-6 month clothes and a size 2 diaper. I think she may go up in clothes size 6-9 months come January.
P has started eating rice cereal and loves it. It took quite a while for S to like cereal, but not P. She liked it from the moment she first got it on her lips. Most nights we can’t get it in her mouth fast enough. We also started letting her use a sippy cup. She got the sippy cup down and will scream at you until you give her it. If it is in her eyesight anywhere she will let you know she wants it. P is still a great eating champ. She usually breastfeeds every 3-4 hours during the day with a longer span at night. She has finally started to be awake more often during the day; however her sleeping habits at night have started to suck. P is not happy sleeping anywhere unless it is snuggled up with mommy in bed. I am not a fan of co-sleeping and never let S sleep in bed with us. About 50% of the time at night she sleeps in her rock ‘n’ play and 50% with mommy.
P got baptized this past month and happily has new godparents her Uncle Jeff and Aunt Shel. She can now roll over front to back and back to front. P can sit for short spans if you sit her up and spread her legs out. She will usually stay in her jumper for almost an hour in the morning and for a short while in the afternoon. P is okay with playing under her jungle gym and on the floor, but doesn’t love it. P still hates her swing so I think it is time to put it away. I had to get P’s picture in the pig hat my friend crocheted for me. It is not the cutest thing in the world?
