Every month of Piper’s first year I will do a monthly update along with showing her pictures I get done every month.
Current Weight: 8 lbs 4 oz
Weight at birth: 6 lbs 14 oz
Current Length: 20 ¾ in
Length at birth: 19 in
As you can see she is still a little peanut. Right now she is in the 25 percentile for her height and weight. P is now just weighing what Sawyer did when he was born. She has been a really good baby the past month. She is a big sleeper. That is basically all she does. She is rarely up more than an hour or two total for the entire day. As most babies she sleeps the best when she is being held (especially by mommy).
We tried to get P to sleep in her pack ‘n’ play at the beginning. She would have none of that and refused to sleep in there. Sawyer didn’t like it at the beginning either. Since I have to deal with Sawyer now I really need the sleep at night so we moved P to her Rock ‘n’ Play and she has been a great sleeper. It seems if she is a little inclined she does not throw up nearly as much like she does when she is flat.
At her one month check-up the doctor has recommended that I go off dairy (since she is breastfed) to see if that will help with her gas (he thinks milk protein allergy) and throwing up through her nose (he thinks acid reflux). The doctor was happy with her weight gain and said she had great muscle tone. She is definitely a mover and shaker. To prove to the doctor that she moves a ton she rolled over from her stomach to back (on the right side) when the doctor put her on her stomach. We were totally surprised because Sawyer was 5 months old before he rolled over, and the doctor was speechless.
I really loved her pictures. My friend Mindy gave me the pig sweater and hat. She bought it in 2003 and has held on to it since then. Somehow I guess she knew I would have a girl someday. I love the outfit and was so happy with the outcome of the pictures. I hope you all enjoy them!
