We have six Meijer stores in are area. B is the grocery shopper so he usually checks on the clearance at Meijer for me. For those who don’t know about Meijer it is mainly a Midwest grocery store similar to Wal-Mart/Target. When he got home at midnight on Sunday from grocery shopping he was all excited because there was an additional 50% off of toy and sporting good clearance. Well he found regular Razor scooters that would only be $9 and a Power Wheels 12-V Corvette that would only be $56.25. He asked me should he have gotten them? Heck yes. Did he? Nope. So after he dropped off S at school Monday morning he ran to the Meijer in Maumee and the one on Central and didn’t find anything. Of course he is only looking for big-ticket items like Crazy Carts, 12-V Power Wheels, and Electric Razor scooters. If he had been looking for toys he may have picked up a few things that I would have picked. No big deal. On B’s way home he picked S up from school and they ran to our Meijer in Perrysburg. He did find the 12-V Power Wheel Corvette and all of this for only $106.25.
- So B found this Corvette and it was only $56.25. What a great deal! He is debating on whether to keep it for S and get rid of the old race cars we have or see if someone else wants it.
- B picked up two Razor scooters for my sister. These are going to perfect for her boys in the summer. At $9.60 each how can you possibly go wrong?
- B asked me about Lego Friends and I told him there were so popular that it is almost unheard of to find them on clearance. Well these small boxes (I mean small) are the same size in pieces as the bags I get from Target. So this is an awesome addition to my stockpile for goodie bags for S’s class. Each one was only $2.99. While I would love to pay the way cheap prices I get the bags for at Target like $.34 or $1.04. This is still better than the regular price the boxes were of $7.99 (which I would never spend on a goodie bag).
- While I would never have thought to look at all the fishing gear, S told me about this as soon as he got home. It is a bunch of bobbers, hooks, etc. to add to his tackle box. All of it ranged in prices from $.24-$.45. They were some serious big spenders on the fishing gear (note the hint of sarcasm).
