Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week is the beginning of Spring Break. S will be home all week. He is super excited and I am not. I think this is what most moms think and just don’t say.
Monday-We are just hanging out at home. It is the first day of spring break for S so he is going to be full of energy.
Tuesday we are going to break open the gold blocks that P and I made. S is going to go play with his cousin. They are going to swim at a hotel pool.
Wednesday-P has story time in the morning. B asked S what he would like to do on his spring break and he said go to Dave & Busters. So I think we are going to try to do that.
Thursday-We are hanging out at home. B picked up overtime. S’s friends are going to come over in the afternoon for a playdate.
Friday-Today is Good Friday so there are some events going on. We could go to the zoo and watch the animals do their egg hunt. Our neighbors are redoing there roof so the kids would like to watch and help with that. It really all just depends on the weather.
Saturday-We are going to an Easter egg hunt with my aunt and uncle. We try to do it every year as long as it isn’t raining or snowing. In the evening, we are going to do the helicopter Easter egg drop. We will go get our spot and hopefully B can make it after work before they drop the eggs. He has made it in the past and he has missed it the past. It just depends on the weather and if the helicopter gets delayed. At some point we will dye Easter eggs during the day. Last year we did it with A and Baby L, so they may do it with again. It just depends on when we do it.
Sunday-It is Easter. The kids will do their egg hunt in the backyard from the Easter bunny. B has to work so it will just be me and the kids. If we didn’t go yesterday we will try to hit the helicopter egg drop. If the weather is awesome we may do it for a second time.
Last Week Recap
Monday B went to the dentist and then had a slightly numb mouth for the morning which is always comical to see. I have never had a cavity so I have no idea what that feels like. Fingers crossed I never do! The rest of the day we hung out at home.
Tuesday S had catechism and piano lessons after school. I went and did a paint class with TeeTee. It is always good when we get a chance to catch up. Of course, because I got home late I stayed up even later than normal.
Wednesday B so graciously (after a few jabs) got up with the kids in the morning and then took P to story time so I could stay home. I ended up getting up while S was still home ate breakfast and then went back to bed when he got on the bus. The rest of the day we hung out at home.
Thursday we hung out at home during the day. After school I got the kids ready and we went to Little P’s 2nd birthday party. The kids did great going out to eat. They happily ate cake and watched Little P open her presents. Afterward they swam until it was time to leave at 8pm. The kids came home to take showers and went right to bed. They were tuckered out.
Friday we hung out at home. Not a whole lot happened.
Saturday was a busy day. I took the kids to the Princess story time at the library. It was Rapunzel reading the stories today. P was so excited. S went with me so he could get more books. He is a good sport about it and sits next to me quietly while P enjoys all of it. Afterward we went to Target to do the Hatchanimals Scavenger Hunt. Well we got there an hour after it started and they were already out of them. One of the workers said there was a line of adults waiting to get an egg. The kids didn’t care so we headed home to get B. We were home for about 20 minutes and then went to Baby Max’s 1st birthday party. The kids had fun and P loves her “Baby Max.” She was a good little helper at the party. We headed home so B could go to work. The kids and I hung out. I took a nap while the kids played on their tablets. I needed an hour break.
Sunday we hung out at home. I went for a kid free walk before B went to work. I took the kids out after dinner for about an hour until it was meltdown time and shower time.
Last Week
Monday-B has a dentist appointment in the morning. S’s friend is coming over after school. Otherwise we are just hanging out at home.
Tuesday-S has catechism and piano lessons in the evening. I am doing a painting class so B will be doing the run around with S.
Wednesday-P has storytime in the morning. I am hoping that I can get the kids Easter pics after school. It all depends on whether P’s chapped skin around her lips has gone away or not.
Thursday-We are celebrating my niece’s birthday. We are going to eat out and have cake. The kids are excited to go.
Friday-There are no plans right now. We are just going to be hanging out at home. This is the last day of school for S; next week starts his spring break.
Saturday-We are going to try to go to Target and participate in the Hatchanimals Scavenger Egg Hunt. In the afternoon, we are going to Max’s 1st birthday. The kids and I love Baby Max.
Sunday-No plans for today, we are just hanging out at home.
