Manic Monday on Tuesday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Weekly Goals-This is B’s week off so hopefully I will be able to work on some reviews and possibly tackling the kitchen and my bedroom.

Monday-S has school, but other than that it looks like we are hanging out at home.

Tuesday-The architectural scavenger hunt that I have been working on is due tomorrow so I am hoping to find everything.  I only have about 12 out of 54 left to find.

Wednesday-I have a doctor appointment, and S has soccer practice in the evening.

Thursday-We have the farmer’s market in the afternoon.

Friday-Other than B working having to work, it doesn’t look like we have any plans.

Saturday-S has a soccer game early in the morning, and then we are off to S’s second Power Wheels Demolition Derby.  He is so excited to go and compete.  Right after that he is invited to a birthday party that starts at 3pm.  The Demo Derby starts at 12pm.  S really wants to do both but it all depends on time.  B works night shift on Friday and Saturday so he is going to get a little sleep Saturday morning do all this running around and as soon as we get home he will be off to work for the night.

Sunday-I have a feeling B will be sleeping most of the day.  The kids and I will either be super quiet around the house or depending on the weather may try to get out of the house so he can get a few good hours of sleep.

Last Week Recap

Monday after S got on the bus P and I met my dad and walked around looking for houses on the Scavenger Hunt.  Tuesday P and I ran to Target after S got on the bus.  We found a few good finds.

Wednesday S had soccer practice.  P and I did the walking path while S was practicing.  P lasted for about half of it and then she wanted out of that stroller.  Thursday we hung out at home.  When B got home from work we went to the farmer’s market.  P refused to get in her stroller and walked the entire farmer’s market.  She did great and held my hand the entire time.  That is all I ever ask when she wants to walk.  The funny thing is we still took the stroller and S ended up riding in it more than he walked.  After the farmer’s market we got the Gator out of the back of the van and walked around looking for more houses in the scavenger hunt.

Friday  in the morning B and S went to the Luckey Fall Festival and came home with a new toy.  After P got up from her morning nap and ate we went over to my dad’s to walk around looking for more houses on the scavenger hunt.  We did pretty good and only have 14 out of 54 left.  It may seem like it a lot but it totally isn’t.  It is always the hardest to find the last few.  P refused to take her afternoon nap.  Not really a big deal if we weren’t going somewhere later. In the evening we went to B’s cousins and S got to play with his best friend L.  They played together for hours.

Saturday B was taking S to his soccer game while I stayed home with P so she could take her morning nap.  Of course she refused so we ended up going to the game.  I thought for sure she would pass out when we got home, but she refused to go to sleep and cried for almost an hour in her crib before I went and laid down with her.  She fell asleep within minutes of me lying with her but the minute I tried to get up over and hour later she got right up with me.  The second day now of only taking one short nap. S did great at his soccer game and went to his first birthday party from his Kindergarten class.

Sunday I thought for sure would be a sleep day for P.  I put her down for her morning nap and she flat out refused to sleep.  I left her in there for an hour and half.  She fussed and cried the entire time.  I finally gave up.  She went down for her afternoon nap no problem.  I thought for sure it was going to be a 3-4 hour nap.  At some point she has to catch up on her sleep.  An hour and half later she is awake and ready to go.  I have no idea what is going on and am totally okay if P goes down to one nap a day, but it has to be a long nap.  She still needs the two naps because when she was awake and should have been sleeping she would just sit on my lap and whine.  Nothing was making her happy.

Last Week

It looks like we are getting back into the routine of things and all is quiet around here.  No more on the go and planning activities, school keeps us busy.

Weekly Goals-I would like to work on getting the kitchen/dining room/living room cleaned up and organized.  Toys keep taking over and I am ready to get rid of more, and move some back down to the playroom.

Monday-I am going to look for more houses on the scavenger hunt after S gets on the bus.  We only have about an hour before P goes down for her second nap.

Tuesday-We may walk around looking for more houses, or just hang out at home all day.  I think I am going to either make a peach pie or slice peaches and freeze them for a peach pie in the winter for B.

Wednesday-S has soccer practice.  B is working so he won’t be able to watch P.  I can either take her to my sister’s again or just take her with me and walk around the path they have that is on the outside perimeter of the soccer fields.  I could bust out the rollerblades and do that.

Thursday-Today is the farmer’s market.  I think we are heading up because I am in the mood for corn on the cob.  Depending on the weather I may walk around looking for more houses on the scavenger hunt.

Friday-B is off so either it will be an errand day or just hanging out at home.

Saturday-I got an invitation in the mail on Monday inviting S to a birthday party in the afternoon.  He has a soccer game in the morning and then the party in the afternoon.

Sunday-I see this as being a recovery day and getting ready for school on Monday.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
