Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Weekly Goals-I am hoping to finish P’s birthday invitations and get them out ASAP.
Monday-I have P’s 11 month pictures scheduled while S is in school. The rest of the day we are just going to hang out at home and try to keep getting better.
Tuesday-We are just hanging out at home. These colds are kicking our butt so we are still trying to get better.
Wednesday-S has school and the rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.
Thursday-Another day of no plans.
Friday-Today is going to be busy. S has his spring program/art show at school in the morning and then we are off to kindergarten registration. I cannot believe my baby is getting registered for kindergarten. If the union hall has dinner we plan on going in the evening.
Saturday-S has another soccer game.
Sunday-As of now we are just going to be home.
Last Week Recap
I took the kids to the doctors on Monday because they have had these terrible colds for two weeks. The doctor diagnosed them both with sinus infections. They have been on antibiotics for a week now. There has been some improvement, but not a ton. The bad part is that B got really bad and ended up going to the doctors on Thursday. He was also diagnosed with a sinus infection and put on antibiotics. Friday I woke up with two plugged sore ears. I tried calling the doctors to make an appointment but no one answered the phone. I decided to stick it out. Saturday my eyes started creating discharge. Sunday morning I woke up and my eyes were red, swollen and I think I had my first case of pink eye ever. Being a Sunday morning there was no chance of seeing the doctor so I Googled how to cure pink eye with home remedies. The number one answer was breastmilk. Well it just so happens that I have my own personal supply of that right now. I started putting drops of breastmilk in my eyes three times a day. After doing it three times on Sunday when I went to sleep my eyes felt 100% normal and were not irritated. I wasn’t sure if it was like antibiotics were you feel better but still have to continue with the medication or it will come back. I put drops in my eyes today and they feel normal. I think I am going to do it tomorrow, too, and then stop. That’s a recap on our sickness in the house.
Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday we spent at home trying to get everyone better from their colds. S did manage to go to school on Wednesday, but was pretty tuckered out when he got home from school.
Thursday we ran to two different Hobby Lobby’s looking for bubble stamps and found two new Easter baskets for both kids that are Snoopy themed. I did manage to find a few bubble stamps so I could start making P’s birthday invitations. When we came home from shopping unfortunately we found Neezer in the backyard and we was pretty sick. Neezer had to be put down.
Friday it was so nice we played outside as much as possible. I worked on P’s birthday invitations. S and P ate dinner out on the deck.
Saturday was also gorgeous out, and S had his first soccer game. He really does love playing soccer. S played outside with B.
Sunday it was rainy and cooler out. B and S went to Blissfield to check out the train club’s new displays. I decided to stay home because I felt terrible and my eyes were bothering me. P stayed home with me and basically we took a nap and cuddled. The rest of the day we just hung out at home.
Last Week
Weekly Goals-I have no weekly goals for this week, I just want us all to get better.
Monday-S had school today, but we did not send him and instead went to the doctor’s office.
Tuesday-No plans for today and we are just going to hang out at home and try to recover from this dreadful cold.
Wednesday-S has school and then we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-We are going to hang out at home.
Friday-S has school and another day of hanging out at home.
Saturday-S has his first soccer game and I am not sure what we are going to do the rest of the day.
Sunday-B wants to go to Blissfield Train Day so I think we are going to make a day of that. The last time we went was two years ago and S had an awesome time. I think P will really like riding the train, too.
