Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Weekly Goals-I have no weekly goals for this week, I just want us all to get better.
Monday-S had school today, but we did not send him and instead went to the doctor’s office.
Tuesday-No plans for today and we are just going to hang out at home and try to recover from this dreadful cold.
Wednesday-S has school and then we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-We are going to hang out at home.
Friday-S has school and another day of hanging out at home.
Saturday-S has his first soccer game and I am not sure what we are going to do the rest of the day.
Sunday-B wants to go to Blissfield Train Day so I think we are going to make a day of that. The last time we went was two years ago and S had an awesome time. I think P will really like riding the train, too.
Last Week Recap
Oh man, I thought we were going to have a quiet week. I was totally wrong. We were so busy and to top it off we all got the same really bad cold. Not only was I sick with the cold, but had to stay up almost two complete nights taking care of P.
Monday S had school and we spent the rest of the day at home. P got to ride in the baby seat on my bike for the first time and loved it. When we stopped she started jumping in the seat to move again. I wasn’t sure that is what she wanted so I started riding around again and she got quiet and just sat there. I stopped and she went crazy. I guess she is going to love riding on my bike as much as S did.
Tuesday was just a quiet day hanging out at home. Although we were all sick with this dreaded cold, at least we weren’t crazy busy.
Wednesday night I could not get P to sleep at all. She literally went to sleep normal, woke up around 11pm, and refused to go back to sleep. I tried everything from 12am-3am. I finally gave up and took her for a drive to get her to fall asleep. She fell asleep and I was grateful until we got home. The minute I put the carrier down she woke up. After another 45 minutes of bouncing and rocking she finally fell asleep and I was allowed to get some sleep. The only problem was…..
Thursday morning I had to get up at 7am. Lucky me, S woke up at 6:30am and so did I. We had a funeral showing in Cleveland and then hung out at my brothers for a while. When we got home, we stripped P down to her onesie so she could be free and move around. Well she sure did move and stood up against the baby gate for the first time. She loved if she pulled on the gate all the noise it would make. After a quick dinner for the kids we were seriously tuckered out and had an early night.
Friday S had school; we hung out at home, and then had another night from hell. P did not want to sleep for anything. She was having such a hard time with this cold. Every time she fell asleep she kept waking up because she was choking on all the mucus she had in her head. I wanted to go early to Target for the 90% clearance Saturday morning and it was not happening. I can’t even remember when she finally fell asleep, but I did not get very much sleep. After P finally fell asleep in the early morning hours she did not wake up until 10am, therefore neither did I.
Saturday I ran to Target and got to go through the Easter clearance because it was 90% off. Sadly the candy was still 50% off. I checked online and only the store I go to the most went 90%, the others were still at 70%. I left the kids at home and took my good old time at Target. I found some great deals.
Sunday I got up. P is still battling this cold and keeping me up but last night wasn’t so bad. I left the kids with B and was going to hit up the other three Targets in my area. I was able to go to two Targets before it was time to head home because P was getting fussy and B was getting a second cold. I got some great stuff and managed to get pastel M&Ms for P’s birthday party for free!!!! They are going to be bubbles. I couldn’t help myself and went back to my regular Target and was able to find more stuff. I saw the Play-doh, and Doc McStuffin stethoscope, but I wasn’t sure if they were the right ones. When I came back this time I scanned them and they were. I was tired, B was tired and S had some weird stuff coming out of his eyes (this is for Tuesday Troubles), so we started getting the kids ready for bed at 7pm. S didn’t even question us and just went along with the flow.
Last Week
I started out the week thinking we had nothing going on, literally. That all changed quickly and I remembered a few things I forgot to put on my calendar.
Monday-S has school and then we are hanging out at home because it is going to be the only day that is nice and slightly warm outside this week.
Tuesday-It is supposed to rain so we are going to hang out inside.
Wednesday-S has school and then we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-We have a showing for my SIL’s father who passed away in Cleveland.
Friday-S has school which I haven’t decided if he is going to go yet or not. We have the funeral in Cleveland, and then dinner at the union hall if they serve something I like. (I am not sure if they are going to keep doing Friday dinners or if they were only doing it during Lent. I guess we will find out, but they served meat so who knows?)
Saturday-S has a build at Lowe’s and should have his first soccer practice. I’m wondering about the practice because we are supposed to have rain all week and the fields will be soaked.
Sunday-A day of hanging out at home.
