Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
I started out the week thinking we had nothing going on, literally. That all changed quickly and I remembered a few things I forgot to put on my calendar.
Monday-S has school and then we are hanging out at home because it is going to be the only day that is nice and slightly warm outside this week.
Tuesday-It is supposed to rain so we are going to hang out inside.
Wednesday-S has school and then we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-We have a showing for my SIL’s father who passed away in Cleveland.
Friday-S has school which I haven’t decided if he is going to go yet or not. We have the funeral in Cleveland, and then dinner at the union hall if they serve something I like. (I am not sure if they are going to keep doing Friday dinners or if they were only doing it during Lent. I guess we will find out, but they served meat so who knows?)
Saturday-S has a build at Lowe’s and should have his first soccer practice. I’m wondering about the practice because we are supposed to have rain all week and the fields will be soaked.
Sunday-A day of hanging out at home.
Last Week Recap
I am writing this Monday night/Tuesday morning at 2:15am, because P finally let me get something done because she is sleeping. (I gave up at 2:35am because I was falling asleep as I was typing and am now finishing it 12 hours later.) I am going to keep it short because I plan on doing an Easter recap. We spent most of the week just hanging out at home. Monday and Tuesday were spent at home.
Wednesday we went out to my Aunt and Uncle’s because they were moving into their new house and I thought S would love to watch the movers unload the trucks. Well they were running behind so I took S and P to the park. S loves playing at the park, but after a little while told me this was not a very fun park and could we go home. Aka, I am tired and think I might fall asleep on the way home. We headed home and I thought for sure P would fall asleep on the way home. To my surprise, S fell asleep on the way home and P stayed awake and spent some time with me. The two of us played while S slept and then we all went outside to play. B came home early and the kids were so excited to have all of us outside together. We played a little April Fool’s joke on B and gave him a pan of Brown-EEs.
Thursday B went to the Union hall on his own for our appointment, I stayed home with the kids, and then he went to work. It was raining so he got off early. We surprised S and took him to the new aquarium at the Toledo Zoo. They just stared at the fish swimming. S was actually scared of the sharks in the tanks and would not get close to the glass. Afterward we went to Costco, and then headed home for the evening.
Friday we hung out at home, and then went to the union hall for dinner. We had pizza, got to hang out with some of B’s co-workers and S got to talk to the kids about Minecraft. He was totally excited to that he got to talk to kids about Minecraft and talked about it all the way home.
Saturday I totally forgot about the Home Depot kid build because of the egg hunts. We went to an egg hunt out in Whitehouse. We met up with my Aunt and Uncle and they got to watch S run for eggs. It was really windy and a little chilly, but P loves to play outside so she was as happy as can be outside. P did an egg race and then the egg hunt. There were some kids in his age group who didn’t really get how to do the egg hunts so they missed out on eggs. S was kind enough to give them some eggs so they weren’t sad. We went home, and P took her nap. Later in the afternoon we went to a local church for an egg drop. S had so much fun and loves going to it. He cleaned up getting eggs. We went home dyed eggs, made brownie egg pops and got ready for Easter.
Sunday we woke up and S inspected his Easter basket from the Easter bunny. We hunted eggs outside and then went to my Aunt’s for another egg hunt. Change of plans at the last minute and went to B’s aunts for dinner. S was so happy to play with L and his other cousins. P she was overwhelmed from the day and just fussed the whole time.
Last Week
My Weekly Goals-I don’t have any goals for this week. I would love to be able to work on some posts that I need to get done.
Monday-We hung out at home all day. It was definitely a recovery day for S and P.
Tuesday-It is going to be rainy so I am planning on trying to work on my dessert for Sunday. We may try to do cake pops again (S asked me to shape them into eggs.)
Wednesday-We are just hanging out at home. It is going to be close to 70° so I am hoping we can spend most of the day outside. We may go to my aunt and uncle’s to help them move.
Thursday-We have a meeting at the union hall in the morning for our next Strike Relief Fund check.
Friday-There is a marshmallow drop in Michigan that I have heard of before and am thinking about taking S to it. I think we are going to try to decorate eggs, and maybe have dinner at the union hall.
Saturday-There is a ton of stuff we could do, but I think we are going to an egg hunt in the morning, going to meet up with my aunt and uncle for an egg hunt in the afternoon and go to the egg drop in the evening (where a helicopter drops eggs). S loves the egg drop and we have gone the past three years.
Sunday-It’s Easter, so of course, we will have an egg hunt. We are going to my aunts in the afternoon and then just hanging out at home.
