Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
My Weekly Goals-I don’t have any goals for this week. I would love to be able to work on some posts that I need to get done.
Monday-We hung out at home all day. It was definitely a recovery day for S and P.
Tuesday-It is going to be rainy so I am planning on trying to work on my dessert for Sunday. We may try to do cake pops again (S asked me to shape them into eggs.)
Wednesday-We are just hanging out at home. It is going to be close to 70° so I am hoping we can spend most of the day outside. We may go to my aunt and uncle’s to help them move.
Thursday-We have a meeting at the union hall in the morning for our next Strike Relief Fund check.
Friday-There is a marshmallow drop in Michigan that I have heard of before and am thinking about taking S to it. I think we are going to try to decorate eggs, and maybe have dinner at the union hall.
Saturday-There is a ton of stuff we could do, but I think we are going to an egg hunt in the morning, going to meet up with my aunt and uncle for an egg hunt in the afternoon and go to the egg drop in the evening (where a helicopter drops eggs). S loves the egg drop and we have gone the past three years.
Sunday-It’s Easter, so of course, we will have an egg hunt. We are going to my aunts in the afternoon and then just hanging out at home.
Last Week Recap
As far as goals go, I never even got to start a photo book for S or P. I don’t know how people find all the time, but I have no extra time. I barely have enough time some days to post on the blog or even crack open my computer. Last week kicked off our Easter events.
Monday S had school and another day of hanging out at home. Tuesday we hung out at home all day. Wednesday S had school and then we hung out at home for the rest of the day.
Thursday we hung out at home and then B and I went to the Jason Aldean concert. We had a great time. S and P went to B’s aunts. S was excited to go and play with his cousin L. Much to our surprise they were both still awake when we got back from the concert. S did not go to sleep until midnight and had school Friday morning.
Friday I debated about having S go to preschool since he got such little sleep. He woke up said he was tired but okay to go to school. Since it was his last day before his spring break I was okay with it. I got a huge gift and P slept all night on Thursday for the first time. She fell asleep at 1:30am and did not get up until 8:30am. Awesome!!! S did great at school and I took him for a drive hoping he would fall asleep. No go he was tired, lay down on the couch, and watched a movie. We went to the union hall for dinner and had some awesome Smokey Bones. I took the kids home while B went and finished working.
Saturday we were going to go to an egg hunt at Harley Davidson’s but since it was so cold and there were a few flurries we decided to skip it and stay home. Instead we worked on our treats for my mom’s the next day. We tried making cake pops, but they didn’t quite work out so we made Rice Krispie egg’s instead.
Sunday we went to my mom’s to celebrate Easter. S had so much fun playing with all of his cousins. This year for the egg hunt he took off on his own, (well with my Uncle F). Usually he sticks with me, but he was all about getting the eggs with his Uncle F. B took P around looking for her eggs. We borrowed these buckets and they worked out perfectly. P sat in her bucket while B and I took turns pulling her around. S ran like a mad man with his bucket to collect all his eggs. The two of them had so much fun playing and were completely tuckered out. It made for an early night.
Last Week
My Weekly Goals-There is currently a code for a free 8×8 photo book at Shutterfly that expires Monday and I have one from 365Offers that expires on the 26th. I am hoping to get two books done this week. I am currently behind on S’s books (I make one for every four months so 3 a year), and haven’t even started any for P yet.
Monday-S has school and we are hanging out at home the rest of the day. B has a meeting at the union hall about the strike negotiations. I am hoping it will be good news that this will be over.
Tuesday-We may go to the zoo with L and B’s aunt, otherwise we are just hanging out at home all day. B is running to the union hall to pick up the strike relief fund check.
Wednesday-S has school in the morning and then we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-We are going to the Jason Aldean concert tonight and I cannot wait. S and P are going to B’s aunts. S is excited because he gets to play with L. I am hoping since P has been around B’s aunt so much lately that she will be a happy camper for her.
Friday-S has school, and then we are hanging out at home, and maybe have dinner at the union hall depending on what they are serving.
Saturday-We have a birthday party to go to, and I know there will be some egg hunts around that we will try to go to.
Sunday-We are having Easter at my mom’s today. I can only imagine how much fun S is going to have. He is going to get to see F today and he has been counting down the days.
