Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

It is going to be a pretty quiet week for us. We don’t really have anything planned.  B is going to try to work as much as possible doing side jobs.

My Weekly Goals: I need to get more items listed for sale on Perrysburg Online Garage Sale and EBay. I’m just going to keep listing items until everything is gone.

Monday-B has his unemployment hearing in the morning. I doubt we will get it but you never know. It is one big group so he doesn’t actually have to do anything the representatives from the union are doing it all. S has school in the morning and I am going to try to run to a few stores while he is in school. He hates to go shopping to more than one store at a time and I need to hit Babies R Us, Kohl’s and Target.

Tuesday-If the weather is even half way warm as predicted (in the 40’s maybe 50), I am going to do my best to get them outside for at least a few hours.

Wednesday-S has school in the morning and then we are just going to be at home the rest of the day.

Thursday-Another day of hanging out at home.

Friday-S has school, then we are going to hang out at home, and if the union is serving something we like, we will go there for dinner.

Saturday-S has a build in the morning at Lowe’s to make the Monster Truck El Toro Loco. This is his all-time favorite. I went to register 3 hours after it opened last Monday and the Perrysburg location was full. I was able to find a spot at another Lowe’s in the area. He would have been devastated if he didn’t get to make this one. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Sunday-Another day of hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

I managed to get a few things posted and a few other things sold online this past week. Thank goodness B does all the actual face-to-face meetings. I hate that part.

Monday S had school and we hung out at home the rest of the day.

Tuesday we went to the union hall to apply for the strike relief fund, and then onto S’s spring parent-teacher conferences. I did manage to sneak in a quick run to Kohl’s with B to use the coupon that I had and got an outfit for P for free. I got her 11 month pictures outfit. It is so cute.

Wednesday S had school; we went to the library and went to pick up P’s pictures from JCPenney’s. When I looked at the pictures they didn’t look right, that was because the lady (not my usual) did not order the right picture and her Valentine pics had half of the heart cut out of the picture.

Thursday B was supposed to go to my aunt and uncle’s and take S but that fell through so B worked and we hung out at home.

Friday S had a teacher in-service day so we hung out at home and never left the house. My mom came over in the morning and my sister came over in the evening so we had a few new faces for the kids to play with. They were so happy to have someone other than me to play with.

Saturday the kids and I hung out at home and B worked over at my aunt and uncles new house. When B got home S told him the cutest and saddest thing. He said, “Maybe you could work less so you can spend more time at home with us and get some stuff done around here.” If only it were that easy. We did manage to make a few Easter crafts, and S loved using the glitter glue!

Sunday was another day of us hanging out at home and B working. We did make banana bread which S has been begging to make.

Last Week

My Weekly Goal-I am going to work on getting all the new baby clothes listed on the Facebook Garage Sale page, and Ebay. I got about half listed and interest in some, so I just need to keep up with it.

Monday-I am hoping to run to Kohl’s and use my coupon before I lose it. I basically have $9 to use because the coupon expires on the 9th. Those darn reward bucks you earn each month. B is taking his dad to the airport and then off to work at his cousins. After S gets out of school we are going to decorate the more of the house for Spring/Easter. The rest of the day we are hanging out at home.

Tuesday-With potential freezing rain/rain mix for the day we are not planning on leaving the house. B and I have S’s parent/teacher conferences in the evening and maybe a run to JCPenney’s to get P’s pics from Feb. S is going to play at my mom’s with F. He is so excited.

Wednesday-B has school in the morning and then I think we are just going to hang out at home the rest of the day.

Thursday-I have my final 6-week check-up for my wrist at the doctors. B is going to my Uncle’s with my mom and S is either going to stay at home with me or go with B. I bet he goes with B because he loves to go see his Uncle F. We haven’t told him yet, that this is even an option.

Friday-S does not have school. They are having a teacher in-service day. Right now there are no plans, just hanging out at home. Depending on what they are serving this week, we may go eat dinner at the union hall. If I can get cupcakes as good as I did last week I will be there every Friday.

Saturday-S has a build at Home Depot to make book ends, and then we are hanging out at home and I think B will probably be working.

Sunday-The kids and I are hanging out at home. Not sure if B will be home or working. (He basically is working every day because of the strike.)

I’m right there with you and the selling. I’ve done pretty good with my local groups and if its small I do porch pickup. They just leave the money under the mat in a baggie I have their name on. It is what a lot of people around me are doing now. However if its bigger I have to meet them and since I’ve been doing big toys they have had to come to the house. Not my favorite but it is what it is. I’m also taking a ton of things to a local church consignment sale this weekend. I only get 50% of my sales but they do give me a tax slip for the rest and I can sale a ton at one time. They are also super speedy so when I go to pick up my stuff Saturday evening they will have my check ready to go. I love the fast turn around. This time I’m taking all kids clothes and I have almost 200 items. LOL Pretty much everything is going. We are pretty sure we are done so if things change then we will just have to rebuy but really I’m getting a little old for the baby thing 😉

I’m okay so far with this selling thing. A ton of the boy clothes were given to me so I am totally okay with passing them on and not making any money. The problem is I have to have someone to pass them onto. I am totally done having kids. Seeing as I no longer have a uterus (so happy), there is no chance of having another. Now I am ready to clean house and get more room to free up some space! Good luck on the sale this weekend!

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
