Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
My Weekly Goal-I guess I am going to stick with last week’s goal and work on getting the all the clothes I bought organized and put away.
Monday-S was supposed to go to school, but they already cancelled it yesterday by 6pm. He was bummed because he really likes to go to school. S has a bit of a bark cough so if it is not gone by the morning we will be making a trip to the doctor’s.
Tuesday-No plans for today.
Wednesday-S has a scheduled two-hour delay for school and then the rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.
Thursday-I am getting my stitches out this morning and cannot wait. I may make a run to Target or just hang out at home.
Friday-S is supposed to go to school but they are predicting it to be -9° Thursday night and windy so they may delay or cancel based on temperature.
Saturday-S has a build at Home Depot to make a Valentine’s Day box. The rest of the day we don’t have any plans.
Sunday-We have no plans but to hang out at home.
Last Week Recap
I did half of my goal from last week done. I got the toys put away and organized, but never got a chance to work on the clothes. I am hoping to get it done today. Monday we went to a bunch of Meijer’s and bought a bunch of toys that we didn’t need (but totally wanted).
Tuesday we went to the doctor’s and did not get my stitches out. Right now they are itching like crazy and I can’t wait to get them out this week. We also got our huge shipment of bean bag furniture from Kohl’s.
Wednesday S had school and we just hung out at home the rest of the day. Thursday I had a dentist appointment and then made a run to Target.
Friday B went back to work after being off for two weeks and I was on my own. We got S off to school with no problems and then it was just P and me at home. Changing P’s diapers was definitely hard. To have to use my left hand to help change her sent shooting pains down my hand, but really she can’t stay in a dirty diaper all day. We did however get back in a nice schedule for P. Once we got S from school we went home and worked on our science experiment with mixing colors. S loved mixing the Playdoh colors to see what color we would get and P enjoyed squishing it between her fingers for a few seconds.
Saturday we hung out at home and S got a surprise that he got to have two of his cousins come over and spend the night. This was the first time that his cousin L got to spend the night and it went great. We have had s’s other cousin spend the night before and she is a pleasure to have. She was such a help and distraction for P to give her someone else to play with other than B or me. Yesterday S got up at 5:30am because he was so excited to play more with his cousins. I made him come lie down in bed with me and he slept until 8:30am. When he got up his cousins were already up and in the living room playing. True to S’s form, when it came time for them to leave S wasn’t ready and ran to his room crying. I guess he just wasn’t ready to say good-bye yet. We spent the rest of the day inside while we watched the snow come down all day. B is guessing as of last night we had about 10-12 inches.
Last Week
My Weekly Goal: I would like to work on the basement this week and getting all the clothes and toys I bought put away for next year. A little organization down there would help.
Monday-S has school. Yeah!!!! He had no school last week and we are itching to get him back. B went to Meijer’s last night and found out that all the clearance toys were an additional 50% off. So after he dropped S off at school he ran to a few more Meijer’s. (And he says I am obsessed with Target, who went to a bunch of Meijer?)
Tuesday-I am getting my stitches out today. I’m a little nervous because I am not 100% sure it is healed enough to get the stitches out. I am afraid it is going to open back up since it is still seeping blood a little here a little there. There are some gaps still that you can see are held together with the stitches. If the doctor takes out the stitches I may put steri-strips on it just to be safe.
Wednesday-S has school and the rest of the day we are at home.
Thursday-I plan on making a quick run to Target and the rest of the day I think we are just hanging out at home.
Friday-S has school and B is back to work. He took off the past two week because of my hand surgery and now we have to go back to reality.
Saturday-No plans since B is working, probably just hanging out at home.
Sunday-Another day of no plans and just hanging out at home.
