Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
My Weekly Goals: It looks like it is going to be a pretty quiet week for us. I’m planning on getting ahead on posts because I’m having surgery on Friday and typing will be slow going for the next few weeks.
Monday-S has school if we don’t get too much snow and then we are just hanging out at home. I don’t think it is going to be warm enough to play outside. I have a dentist appointment but don’t know if I am going to keep it or not.
Tuesday-We will be hanging out inside today because it is going to be pretty darn cold out.
Wednesday-S has school today and then we are just hanging out at home.
Thursday-We are going to be heading to all four Targets if our Target does their big toy markdown.
Friday-I am having carpal tunnel surgery on my left hand so posts for the next few weeks will be sparse. B’s aunt is going to watch the kids while I am having surgery.
Saturday-I plan on just taking it easy and recovering from surgery.
Sunday-Another day of recovery.
Last Week Recap
As far as goals for last week I did get the Target Christmas organized. I got part of the stuff I bought put away. I wasn’t able to put the stuff away that goes in the gift section in the basement because S has all of his gifts there that he doesn’t know about.
So it was a bit of a chaotic week last week. The weather was definitely a big factor. We had a frigid and snowy week. Monday S had school and we hung out at home the rest of the day. Tuesday was another day of hanging out at home because of the weather.
Wednesday S had school and then B took him to get a haircut at the barber’s. They cut it way to short and I cannot wait for it to grow back again.
Thursday it was cold and we hung out at home. When B woke up, I ran to Target and got some really good deals on some toys. I’m thinking this week will be the big toy markdown week. Our neighbor’s came over and S got to play with Baby A for a while. He loves to play with other kids.
Friday school was cancelled so I took S to Hero’s (which is a bounce house place). He had fun bouncing in the houses and going down the slides. P went with us and had fun watching all the kids running around until she passed out. B and I had his company Christmas party. This was the first time I had left P with anyone other than B. S and P went to B’s cousins and hung out with them for a while. B and I had a good time, unfortunately when we got back to B’s cousins it doesn’t look like P had a good time. She was pretty fussy for them most of the time. The minute I held her she was silent and never made a peep. She was definitely touchy the rest of the night and ended up sleeping with me all night. I tried to put her down and she would immediately wake up and fuss. She literally had a death grip on me all night.
Saturday B took P with him to run some errands and I got to sleep in. We had a baptism/birthday party in the afternoon/evening. P missed her afternoon nap, so she was a bit fussy. Of course, she finally fell asleep after church. I was hoping she would fall asleep and sleep through church. I cannot complain because both of the kids were very well-behaved. S loves to hang out with his cousins and play with them.
Sunday we hung out at home and did absolutely nothing. P and I took a nice long nap in the afternoon. I made a few pumpkin pies last night. I had a few pie crusts that I made and needed to use.
Last Week
Weekly Goals-I would like to get all of the Target Christmas finds organized and put away for next year.
Monday-S is back to school. It has been two weeks of him being home and now it is time to go back. I am excited to have a few hours of quiet time. I found a Crazy Cart at Target yesterday on sale for $199. I think B is going to run and get it this morning. If P is up we may run with him. Don’t want to miss a chance to go to Target.
Tuesday-I plan on just hanging out at home until B has to go to work.
Wednesday-S has school, and then we are hanging out at home.
Thursday-It looks like another quiet day. I am going to run to Target and see what they are marking down in the Toy section. That winter toy markdown is coming up fast. I am hoping the big markdown is next week because I am having hand surgery a week from Friday.
Friday-S has school. We have B’s company Christmas party in the evening. This is the first time that I am leaving P with someone other than B. She will be in good hands with B’s cousin. If not she loves B’s cousins husband because he has a beard like Papa’s. She will hang onto his beard and not let go so she can’t be put down.
Saturday-We have a baptism and birthday party. S is going to love playing with his cousins again.
Sunday-No plans for today yet probably just recovering from the past two busy days.
