Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

My Weekly Goals-I am hoping to get my shopping list for Black Friday done by Wednesday. If I can manage it I plan to post my shopping list for all of you to see.

Monday-S has school and then a Thankful program at the end of his day. I love his little programs they have at school. Derby is going to the vets to get her teeth cleaned. I am hoping it is going to help with the god awful breath of hers.

Tuesday-It looks like it is going to be a quiet day at home.

Wednesday-We are making a run to Costco to get fruit. My niece requested fruit pizza for Thanksgiving. She is a picky eater (along with S), so this is something they will both eat.

Thursday-We are headed to my mom’s for Thanksgiving lunch (we are eating at 1pm). It works out for us because in the evening I will take the kids home and B will head out for some crazy shopping. You never know I have been known to go and take the kids with me. If I keep P and B watches S it is smooth sailing at the stores with them.

Friday-I think B may head out in the morning to Menards; otherwise it will be a day of eating leftovers and hanging out at home.

Saturday-During the day we are hanging out at home and in the evening we are heading to Maumee for the Lights Parade. I am hoping to park right on the street like I have in previous years so we can sit in the car and be toasty warm.

Sunday-After B wakes up we will be heading uptown for the local holiday parade. Then it will be time to head home and get ready for school.

Last Week Recap

As far as my goal of getting the thank you cards out, I didn’t get them out. I did however complete them on Sunday and they are going out in the mail today.

Monday S had school, and then we got P’s 6 month pictures done. When we got home S played outside in the first snow fall of the season. He has so much fun and stayed out there for over two hours.

Tuesday we started getting out the Christmas decorations and made sugar cookies. I tried a new recipe and used Monk in the Raw sugar for one batch and regular sugar for another batch. Neither tasted very good to me, but the Mon in the Raw cookies were in editable to me.

Wednesday S stayed home from school because his coughing was out of control. We hung out at home and basically stayed on the couches most of the day.  Thursday we hung out at home. Friday S had school in the morning and then we had family pictures in the afternoon.

Saturday and Sunday we just hung out at home. We got all of the holiday decorating done and we are ready for the Christmas season. P loves looking at the tree and S is all about anything that makes noise or sings. Saturday night I decided to try something else to get P to sleep by herself. Since B is off for the week this is the perfect time. I fell asleep sitting up holding her in bed to get her to fall asleep and when I woke up at 1am. Since P wouldn’t stay asleep when I put her down I decided to swaddle her. To me I think she is a little too big to be swaddled but I went the new school route and tucked everything in the blanket except for head. (In the hospital they leave their arms free so that is how I have always done it.) When I set P down in her bed she stayed and slept until 7:30am. Awesome!!!! I did it again last night and she did great. I am so glad I figured this out. I just hope it continues.

Last Week

My Weekly Goals-I have to get P’s thank-you cards from her baptism out. They are written and I have the pictures back. Now I just have to print address labels, labels for the back of the pictures and assemble. Easier said than done, but I will do my best.

Monday-It is going to be a hectic morning. S has school, P has her 6-month check-up, we have to pick S up from school and go straight to P’s 6-month pictures. S wants to come home and play in the snow.

Tuesday-It is going to be quite chilly out today so I think we are going to stay home and make cookies. I got Monk Fruit in the Raw Sugar to review so I am going to make sugar cookies with that and then traditional sugar cookies. I am curious what the taste difference is going to be between the two.

Wednesday-S has school and the rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Thursday-No plans just hanging out at home.

Friday-S has school in the morning and then we are doing family Christmas pictures in the afternoon.

Saturday-I am hoping to get a majority of the Christmas decorations put up. S has been asking for a few days now so I am making it a priority.

Sunday-Another day of just hanging out at home. I bet we make some more applesauce today!

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
