Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

A few days late because P has not been the most cooperative.

This Week

My Weekly Goals: To take S to as many Halloween events as he wants to go to.

Monday-The weather is going to be awesome so we will be outside most of the day. I am going to try to get P’s baptism pictures done.

Tuesday-We are just hanging out at home. With a prediction of high winds and 80% chance of rain we made no plans.

Wednesday-We have no plans to for today. S asked me to pick him up from school and stop at the library on the way home.

Thursday-No plans for today unless I can find a Halloween event happening.

Friday-Today is Halloween! S is having a little Halloween party and parade at school. After school depending on the weather we may go Trick-or-Treating at the businesses in downtown Perrysburg. In the evening we are going to my parents to Trick-or-Treat. For the past two years S has wanted to pass out candy and do a little Trick-or-Treating. This year he says he wants to do the same.

Saturday-Anderson’s is having Trunk-or-Treating. If S wants to go we will, if not we will take down Halloween decorations and put up the few Thanksgiving decorations we have.

Sunday-As of now no plans for the day.

Last Week Recap

I set an easy weekly goal for myself and somehow never managed to get them written. I plan on getting them done this week. Last week was a whirlwind. It seems that we did a ton and yet did nothing. Monday we hung out around home, and Tuesday was basically the same as Monday except S didn’t have to go to school. Wednesday S had grandparent’s day. He was quite spoiled and both sets of grandparents each bought him two books at the book fair. I picked up S from school and he got his first homework assignment. He had to fill out four pages of his picture book for school. So we went home and picked out pictures to get printed for the pages. Between the two of us we found 10 pictures to print so S could decide when he looked at them. I ordered them through Walmart.com and was going to pick them up later. Long story short Wal-Mart screwed up and they had no order for me. After talking to some employees and a manager we got nowhere. We left with no pictures so I went home and ordered them from Target.com.

Thursday we went to Trunk-or-Treating at S’s school. He had a ton of fun because F went with us. After Trunk-or-Treat we ran to Target to pick up the pictures I ordered with no issues. We went home and finished S’s homework. I love that he is learning to write all his letters.

Friday when S got home from school he said he was the first (and only) child so far who turned in all of his homework. It totally made his day at school.  P had cereal for the first time and loved it.

Saturday S and B went to my parents to mow the lawn and pick up leaves. P and I went over later. I took S and P uptown to Octoberfest. S had fun looking at all of the Halloween stuff, getting some candy and riding a train (but not a real one he will tell you). Later we went to a party for what would have been B’s grandpa’s 100th birthday. It was in a barn that had been finished and totally cool.

Sunday we hung out at home. B and S were outside most of the day.  S carved his first pumpkin and did care for the guts.

Last Week

My Weekly Goals: This week I am going to not really set any lofty goals. I am going to write the thank you notes for P’s baptism. Then it is just a matter of time waiting for her baptism pictures to come back so I can send out the cards.

Monday-Today is solely a catch-up day on sleep. P’s schedule is totally off whack and she really needs to get some sleep. S is going to be very whiney after having trouble sleeping last night so hopefully he will either take a nap or rest.

Tuesday-No plans for today so we are just going to be hanging out at home.

Wednesday-S has grandparent’s day today. He is going to be so excited to tell me about it when I pick him up. I think we are going to make a stop at the library after school. The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.

Thursday-We are hanging out at home and when B gets home from work we are going to Trunk or Treat. We have gone every year since I was pregnant with S. It is by far my favorite event we do for Halloween.

Friday-B is off so I am sure we will end up running errands or doing something.

Saturday-We are going to a cook-out on B’s side of the family to celebrate what would have been his grandpa’s 100th birthday. I think it is pretty cool they are having a party to remember and celebrate his birthday.

Sunday-I am guessing we are going to be hanging out at home or doing a Halloween event.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
