Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
My Weekly Goals: This week I am going to not really set any lofty goals. I am going to write the thank you notes for P’s baptism. Then it is just a matter of time waiting for her baptism pictures to come back so I can send out the cards.
Monday-Today is solely a catch-up day on sleep. P’s schedule is totally off whack and she really needs to get some sleep. S is going to be very whiney after having trouble sleeping last night so hopefully he will either take a nap or rest.
Tuesday-No plans for today so we are just going to be hanging out at home.
Wednesday-S has grandparents day today. He is going to be so excited to tell me about it when I pick him up. I think we are going to make a stop at the library after school. The rest of the day we are just hanging out at home.
Thursday-We are hanging out at home and when B gets home from work we are going to Trunk or Treat. We have gone every year since I was pregnant with S. It is by far my favorite event we do for Halloween.
Friday-B is off so I am sure we will end up running errands or doing something.
Saturday-We are going to a cook-out on B’s side of the family to celebrate what would have been his grandpa’s 100th birthday. I think it is pretty cool they are having a party to remember and celebrate his birthday.
Sunday-I am guessing we are going to be hanging out at home or doing a Halloween event.
Last Week Recap
It was a busy week getting ready for P’s baptism Saturday night.
Monday after S got home from school we worked on making the ghosts to hang outside on the trees. We also finished the foam haunted mansion finished.
Tuesday we hung out at home and my sister came over to hold P so I could work on picking up the house for P’s baptism. Wednesday I left P home with B when I went to pick up S from school. It gave S and me some time together so we went to the library so he could get a few books and I was able to get a book. Thursday we hung out at home and my sister came over again to hold P so I could get more stuff done for the baptism.
Friday I ran a bunch of errands while S was in school and after I picked him up we started on making cupcakes and pies. Among all the distractions of the day I was able to get the cupcake dress completed at about 2am.
Saturday we went to S’s last soccer game in the morning. While S did not score any goals he did have a great time and really that is all that matters. After the game S, P and I drove down to Haslinger’s Orchard to get apple cider for the party. It is by far my favorite cider and went great with our fall theme to the party. Since I stayed up so late last night finishing P’s cupcake dress/apple pies I took a nap with P. B was busy cooking chili most of the day. In the evening we went to church, had P’s baptism following mass, and then a little party back at our house. The chili was a big hit and P was actually in a pretty good mood.
Sunday B went to help his cousin while P, S and I hung out at home. I lost my voice Friday night/Saturday morning so I spent the day trying to not talk as much as possible. I had S get me a drum so when I wanted to get his attention and talk to him I would hit the drum. It worked pretty well but prevented P from getting sleep.
Last Week
Monday-I am hoping to work on a few Halloween craft projects with S. I wanted to make ghost to hang from the trees outside. B and S have Daddy night at preschool.
Tuesday-My sister is going to come over to hold P so I can work on getting some stuff done around the house to get ready for the baptism. If P would be happy to sit and watch me it would be no problem, but she wants someone to hold her so she can sit and watch.
Wednesday-It doesn’t look like right now we have any plans other than hanging out at home and getting ready for P’s baptism.
Thursday-My sister is going to come over again to help with P.
Friday-I will be spending most of the day making P’s cake for her baptism and B will be working on making chili for the baptism party. I also am planning on getting P’s 5 month pictures done while S is in school in the morning.
Saturday-S has his last soccer game of the season. In the afternoon/evening we have P’s baptism.
Sunday-B is going to help his cousin and we will be spending the rest of the day recovering.
