Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. Since I now have two little ones to take care of I am going to post weekly goals for myself to try to hold myself accountable. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

My Weekly Goals: This week I would love to be able to go through the 3-6 months clothes and get them out for P. She is just now starting to get too big for a few of her 0-3 month clothes. B and I got a bushel of pears this past week at the farmer’s market from my favorite Haslinger’s Orchard. So I have a lot of pears to peel and turn into baby food.

It looks like it is going to be a fairly quiet week for us. The only real thing that we have to do this week is take S to school on Wednesday and Friday.

Monday-I am going to work on the pears and see how much of them I can get done.

Tuesday-We have no plans but to hang out at home.

Wednesday-S has school in the morning. The rest of the day we have no plans but to hang out at home.

Thursday-If the weather cooperates we will go to the farmer’s market in the afternoon and just hang out at home the rest of the day.

Friday-S has school in the morning. B has to go to work so we will hang out at home until he lives.

Saturday-S has a build at Home Depot in the morning and we will hang out with B before he goes to work.

Sunday-So far another quiet day at home.

Last Week Recap

As far as weekly goals goes, we did stay in the house most of the week because it was so warm. We made B’s cake for his birthday, and I did manage to get a few posts done.

Monday we hung out at home and in the evening B and I went to orientation for S’s school. Tuesday was my dad’s birthday. S and I went to my parents in the morning so he could swim. He loves swimming in the big pool, and Papa (my dad) went swimming with S and he loved it.

Wednesday I took S to school to drop off his school supplies and to get familiar with the classroom and teacher. I went to my two-week post-op appointment with my doctor and am recovering nicely.

Thursday was B’s birthday. We worked on his birthday cake during the day, and when he got home we ran a few errands and stopped at the farmer’s market to get pears and corn.

Friday S had his first real day of preschool and loved it. B and I took advantage of having a babysitter and ran a ton of errands (basically shopping) on the other side of town. We barely made it back in time to pick him up. That 2 ½ hours flew by.

First Day of Preschool

First Day of Preschool

Saturday we went to my Aunt and Uncle’s for a Labor Day party. S loves going there and everyone got to meet P. Sunday we hung out at home. We debated about going to IKEA and then went over to B’s parents in the evening. We were supposed to go to a family party on Sunday and totally forgot until we talked to B’s parents. We had every intention of going, but totally forgot. I don’t know how that could have happened with a newborn and S waking up with a terrible cold (note the sarcasm).

Last Week

My Weekly Goals: This week is another week of taking it easy. It is going to be hot this week so we will be staying in the house. We have to make B a cake and I would love to get ahead on a few posts.

Monday-S, P, and I are going to be hanging out at home most of the day. B and I have to go to parent’s orientation for S’s preschool.

Tuesday-S’s last day of hanging out at home before he has to start school for the next what 20 some years of his life. How depressing!

Wednesday-S and I are going to see his classroom and he gets acquainted with it before his real first day on Friday. In the afternoon we are going for my two-week post-op appointment.

Thursday-We are hanging out at home and maybe going to the farmer’s market after B gets home. And of course, it’s B’s 37th birthday. I am sure that S and I will make him some kind of cake.

Friday-S has his first day of preschool. I am not sure what we have in store for the rest of the day when he gets out of school.

Saturday-We are heading to my aunt and uncle’s for a family get together. S is so excited to see his Uncle F and drive his truck all over the place.

Sunday-As of now we have no plans, and are just going to be hanging out at home.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
