Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do. It looks like it is going to be a moderately busy week. I am not sure my body can take it but we are going to give it our best.
This Week
Monday-B picked up some overtime so S and I are going to run to Target to get the supplies to make “bird’s nest” desserts for Easter. I want him to pick out what kind of eggs are going to go in the nest and what color of peeps. The rest of the day we are going to try and spend outside since tomorrow there is a chance for snow.
Tuesday-We are going to start our work on Jell-O eggs (which S loves to make and eat). It takes a few days to make them in all the different colors. It is going to be a chilly day with only a high of 39°. Other than that I think we are just going to be hanging out at home.
Wednesday-We may try and do something with S’s cousins. He has got to see his cousin L twice in the last week and has been asking every day since if he can play with him again. I may try to make this happen.
Thursday-S has his last zoo school. Zoo school takes the month of May off because they are so busy with school field trips, so S has a big break and we may or may not go back to classes again in June. Only the child that is registered for the class and one parent can attend, so it really wouldn’t work with me taking him since I will have the new baby.
Friday-I have my 34 week check-up, need to run to Michaels’s to get some bags of chocolate since they are on sale and there is a great coupon for today, 30% off sale items. We may have to think about going to the zoo to watch the animals do their egg hunts. It is just going to depend on the weather. We could go right after my doctor appt.
Saturday-A local church does a helicopter egg drop where they drop plastic eggs from a helicopter and then it is a free for all for the kids to get as many eggs as they can. We have done this for the past two years and S has loved it. Unfortunately, B has to work and will miss it, so S and I will be going by ourselves to have some fun.
Sunday-Today is Easter so we will be going to my Aunt’s to celebrate. S is looking forward to the egg hunt and cannot wait.
Last Week Recap
With it being so nice out most of the week, we spent as much time as we could outside. Monday we stayed inside because it was raining and worked on our egg hunting skills. Tuesday we played both inside and outside.
Wednesday we went to our final storytime before the baby is born, and then spent the rest of the day outside playing. It hurts like anything for me to sit outside, but I do it just so S can play out there. He loves to be outside and who am I to say no. Thursday I took S to zoo school and then he opted to come home and play in his sand and on the swing instead of staying at the zoo or going to a park. Go figure the kid loves to be at home.
Friday we spent the afternoon over at B’s parents while B helped cut down a few trees. S was so happy to have them home. He really enjoyed playing over at their house and helping with the trees.
S went to his Lowe’s build on Saturday and made a recycling truck. It actually is really cool and he has enjoyed playing with it since he made it. S got his first haircut from B using clippers. I have always cut S’s hair with trimmers and scissors, but he asked if Dada could do it this time. It turned out great for B never cutting anyone’s hair except for his own.
Although it was supposed to rain Saturday night and Sunday we got no rain and enjoyed the weather outside. S actually got to wear shorts on Sunday because it was so warm out.
Last Week
Monday-It looks like it is going to rain all day so we are just hanging out at home. Maybe we will paint some more suncatchers. I am hoping to get some work done on blog postings.
Tuesday—As of now we have no plans, so we will just be hanging out at home.
Wednesday-S has preschool storytime in the morning so we will be heading there and then probably hanging out at home the rest of the day.
Thursday-B is working during the day, so I am taking S to zoo school this week. It is reptile week and they could not promise B last week that it would not be a snake. This baby may come really soon if they get a snake out. If everything goes okay at zoo school we may run to Target.
Friday-B is off so I am thinking he will be working on S and the baby’s furniture getting it clear coated and ready for the bedrooms. I will be doing my best to keep S out of the way.
Saturday-S has a build at Lowe’s this morning. S will be making a recycling truck. I think the rest of the day we will just be hanging out because it is supposed to be 68° outside. I cannot wait for the great weather!
Sunday-No plans so we are just hanging out at home.
