Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. We are up for quite a busy week. Every day something is scheduled! I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Monday-S and I are going to be hanging out around the house while B works on trim for the bedroom windows.
Tuesday-We talked about taking S to the movies, so we may do that or just hang out at home.
Wednesday-Today we have library preschool storytime. I may make a trip to Target in the evening to check the toys out again.
Thursday-If I don’t make it to Target on Wednesday I am going to go today. B is taking S to zoo school, and I may take a nap while they are gone.
Friday-As of right now we have no plans, but I am sure something will come up.
Saturday-S and I are going to hang out and wait for B to wake up. As of right now there are no plans.
Sunday-We are going to check out the potential preschool for S for next year. It will either be this preschool or we will try to get him into zoo preschool.
Last Week Recap
Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday we just hung out around the house. S was busy playing on his Smart Cycle bike most days. (No joke he loves riding that bike and does it about 4-8 hours a day.)
Wednesday we hung out around the house in the morning and were able to get into library storytime in the afternoon which S loved. I went to Target in the evening after B got home from work and was able to score a ton of toys.
Thursday we went to zoo school and let me tell you that was one cold walk through the zoo to get to class. S had so much fun in class and when we left class it was snowing outside and the snow was sticking. I had to venture out to the other 3 Targets for the big toy clearance. S and I hit all three stores despite the weather getting worse. S fell asleep on the way home from the last Target and took a much needed nap.
Friday we went to get an ultrasound of S’s belly because he has a bump that sticks out. Everything came back good and it is just a separation of muscle that will grow together as he gets older. Since S did such a good job we took him out for breakfast and he was one hungry boy. Since he hadn’t been able to eat or drink before he ate his entire plate of pancakes. The rest of the day we hung out at home.
Saturday we went to S’s cousin’s birthday party and then came home to get ready to go to B’s holiday party. S had a great time playing with his cousins while we were at the party. We had fun at the holiday party. Unfortunately there were not enough seats for everyone who attended so that was a little weird. That is what they wanted to encourage mingling. I guess it worked to an extent, but if you were able to get a seat at a table you didn’t want to get up because you might lose your seat.
Sunday we hung out at home. Derby got her hair cut. It is a good haircut, but they didn’t do her face very well and she looks like a lion.
Last Week
Monday-Today we are just hanging out at home watching the snow turn into a muddy mess in the backyard from the dogs.
Tuesday-Again another day of just staying at home hanging out.
Wednesday-I am going to do a quick check after B gets home to see if they marked down the toys the night before. They did it in the summer and I am hoping they do it again.
Thursday-S has zoo school this morning, and then we are going to head to Target. I am hoping this is the big markdown of toys. So we are going to our Target before zoo school and then more Targets after zoo school if the toys got marked down. I will be checking again and again while S is in school.
Friday-Today we are going to get an ultrasound of S’s belly. He has a little bump that he has had for a long time, but the doctor now wants to see if he has hernia. His appointment is at 9:30 am and he cannot eat or drink anything in the morning. This is a child who wakes up and eats immediately. It should make for a fun morning! We told S that we get to look inside his belly, but he didn’t have to worry because there was no baby in his belly!
Saturday-We are going to a birthday party in the afternoon. Then B and I are going to his company holiday party. I’d be happy to skip it because it is not going to be fun trying to find something to wear when maternity clothes are too big and my regular clothes are too small.
Sunday-I am thinking we are just going to be hanging out at home, which I am totally okay with.
