Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans.  We are up for quite a busy week.  Every day something is scheduled!  I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-We are taking a snow day like everyone else in our area/state and staying at home.

Tuesday-S has zoo school but we are wondering if it is going to be cancelled because of the cold weather.  It will be in the negatives and the wind chill will keep it in the negatives.

Wednesday-Library preschool storytime starts today, but I was late signing up S for class so he is on the waiting list.  I am guessing we will not go this week, but maybe next week we will be able to get into the class.  If not we will take these classes off start the next session in March.

Thursday-No plans for today, so we will stay inside and brave the cold weather.

Friday-I have a doctor appt, and then my 20 week ultrasound.  So hopefully they will tell me they were wrong and we are having a boy.  Somehow I don’t think that is going to happen, but we will have to see.

Saturday-B and I are going to the Lady Antebellum concert.  We were supposed to go in November but they rescheduled it for January.

Sunday-I am thinking today we are just going to be hanging out at home.

Last Week Recap

This past week was full of many trips to Target and lots of snow.  Monday we did head out to Target and I was able to get a few good finds.  Tuesday we hung out at home and did not do a whole lot.  We did manage to get almost all of the Christmas decorations put away.  The only thing that we did not put away was the Christmas tree in the living room and the one in S’s playroom.  S just was not ready to put them away.  Wednesday we hung out at home, but I was dying to check out the Christmas clearance at another Target.  B volunteered to drive me to Target and check out the clearance.  So we went out in the snow and braved it to check out another Target.  Thursday S got a Smart Cycle and rode that bike almost the entire day.  He has ridden that bike almost constantly since then.

Friday we hung out at home and then when B got home I went by myself to hit a few stores.  I double checked at Target so I knew what to find Saturday morning, Kohl’s I found nothing, and Wal-Mart for a few odds and ends.

Saturday was one really long day.  S did not want to go bed last night and he finally went to sleep around 1am so we did not get up as early as I would have liked to hit the Targets before we went to a birthday party.  S did not wake up until 8:30am so once I got us ready we were out the door at about 9:30am.  We found a ton of stuff at our Target, and then hit another Target.  After that I was thinking we were not going to go to the birthday party because S was so tired that we would just hit the other two Targets and then head home for a nap.  I felt bad so I asked S, and kind of talked him into wanting to go.  So I decided we would wait on the other two Targets and head to the birthday party.  S had a great time swimming and playing with all of his cousins.  We did go to the other two Targets after the party but both of us were so tired.  We did hit both Targets but were slow going at it.  S fell asleep after the fourth Target on the way home and slept for a good few hours.  When he woke up I fell asleep in his place on the couch and never moved again until Sunday morning.

Sunday I was so sore from all the shopping on Saturday that I pretty much laid around all day Sunday with my feet up and heating pads.  When B came home S did want to go outside and since it was still so warm out 30°, we headed out to play in the snow at 7:30pm.  We tried to go sledding but the snow was to fluffy and deep, so we came home and B and S rode the 4-wheeler all over the yard and plowed some of the driveway.

Last Week

Monday-Today we are getting up bright and early to head out to Target.  I am hoping that Christmas will finally go 70%.  I checked yesterday and it wasn’t, but since so many other stores did I am pretty confident ours will.  Now the debate is do I go to just my regular Target or do I hit another one after I go to mine?

Tuesday-Since today is New Year’s Eve, we really don’t have any plans.  Hopefully B will bring up the Christmas tubs and I can start to take down all the Christmas.  S wants to keep the tree up all year long but sadly it has to come down.

Wednesday-Today is New Year’s Day.  I checked at Kohl’s on Sunday to see if the Hallmark ornaments were 75% off yet and they were still only 50%.   This is when I normally get a few Peanut ornaments really cheap.  So I may make a run to Kohl’s.  Other than that we are going to just hang out around the house.

Thursday-Rumor has it that Target Christmas clearance will go 90% today.  If that is the case, I will be making a run to all four of the Targets in my area.  Thanks goodness B is off so he can keep S and I can really scour the stores for hidden gems.

Friday-No reals plans for today, I think we are just hanging out around the house.

Saturday-We have a build at Home Depot this morning.  Then S and I have a swim birthday party to go to.  S loves playing with his cousins so he will have a ton of fun swimming with them.  I am hoping S is big enough now that I don’t have to go swimming with him, but probably will.

Sunday-As of right now, no plans.
