Manic Monday

Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week.  Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans.  We are up for quite a busy week.  Every day something is scheduled!  I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.

This Week

Monday-Today we are getting up bright and early to head out to Target.  I am hoping that Christmas will finally go 70%.  I checked yesterday and it wasn’t, but since so many other stores did I am pretty confident ours will.  Now the debate is do I go to just my regular Target or do I hit another one after I go to mine?

Tuesday-Since today is New Year’s Eve, we really don’t have any plans.  Hopefully B will bring up the Christmas tubs and I can start to take down all the Christmas.  S wants to keep the tree up all year long but sadly it has to come down.

Wednesday-Today is New Year’s Day.  I checked at Kohl’s on Sunday to see if the Hallmark ornaments were 75% off yet and they were still only 50%.   This is when I normally get a few Peanut ornaments really cheap.  So I may make a run to Kohl’s.  Other than that we are going to just hang out around the house.

Thursday-Rumor has it that Target Christmas clearance will go 90% today.  If that is the case, I will be making a run to all four of the Targets in my area.  Thanks goodness B is off so he can keep S and I can really scour the stores for hidden gems.

Friday-No reals plans for today, I think we are just hanging out around the house.

Saturday-We have a build at Home Depot this morning.  Then S and I have a swim birthday party to go to.  S loves playing with his cousins so he will have a ton of fun swimming with them.  I am hoping S is big enough now that I don’t have to go swimming with him, but probably will.

Sunday-As of right now, no plans.

Last Week Recap

I have talked about what we did last week a ton already so I am going to just do a quick recap of the days.  Monday S and I finished our treats for our neighbor’s gifts.  The marshmallows turned out awesome.  They were a big hit everywhere we went.  We were all up way to late cooking.  It always comes down to the apples pies as to why I am up so late the day before Christmas Eve.

Tuesday was Christmas Eve and S got up early and opened his presents from B and me.  He loved all of his Hot Wheel tracks he got and those kept him busy while B and I got ready for Christmas Eve.  B was making food and I was getting ready.  Christmas Eve was busy and chaotic as always.  We told everyone we are pregnant (or I should say we let S tell everyone).  S opened a ton of gifts and then we headed home to get ready for Santa.

Wednesday was Christmas Day and S was so excited when he woke up.  We tried to get him to cuddle with us for just a little while so we could sleep some more, but he wanted none of that and we all got up bright and early.  S opened his gifts from Santa and his grandparents.  While S and B ate breakfast I took a nap on the couch and then went back to bed.  B woke me up to take S for a car ride and get him to take a nap.  No problem.  We drove S to look at how high the Maumee River had gotten.  S fell asleep and don’t you know I took a nap with him.  I was really tired.  We went to celebrate more Christmas with more family.  After a long day and night we headed home where B and S passed out together in bed.

Thursday we hung out at home.  I made a trip to Target to get new stocking holders for next year.  It is a train set that holds 4 stockings.  I also found some great toy finds and a few more Hot Wheel tracks for S.

Friday we hung out at home and B went back to work.  S was so busy playing with his toys he didn’t even mind that B went back to work.

Saturday again we just hung out at home and S played with all of his new toys.  While B was working on setting up the Hot Wheel tracks on the wall, I took the chance to put away all of the toys that S
is too big for.  He would still play with the toys if I left them out, but really there just isn’t enough room.

Sunday we hung out at home and then made a run to Target and Kohl’s.  Since Target did not go down to 70% I just did some scouting of items and let B and S look at toys.

Last Week

Monday-Today S and I will finish up making all of our treats for the neighbors and we have to make a few apple pies.  I have a dentist appointment in the afternoon with a new dentist.  I am kind of nervous but after my old dentist told me I had three cavities and when I got a second opinion he did not agree with me having any cavities, it was time for a change.  We may make a drive out to a local town because the Maumee River is way above stage levels and B and I love to go see how high it has gotten and where it flooded.

Tuesday-Today is Christmas Eve and we are going to be running from family to family and celebrating Christmas.

Wednesday-Merry Christmas!  Today I will be celebrating with family.

Thursday-I think today we be a recovery day from the madness of the past two days.  I think I may have to make a trip out to Target and pick up a few holiday items at 50% off.  I would like to get the items cheaper, but I don’t want to miss out on them either.  I’ll get them at 50% and if I can find them cheaper I will get them again.

Friday-B is going back to work tonight.  As of now we have no plans.

Saturday-Today we don’t have any plans and I am okay with that.

Sunday-Again no plans for today.

Disclaimer: I have never claimed to be any great writer. So any mistakes that are made are my fault. Sometimes I mix up names B, S, and P, but I think you can figure out who I am talking about. If you find any grammatical errors just fix it in your mind so it sounds right.
