Manic Mondays are when I let you know what plans I have for the week. Some weeks I may be very busy where other weeks there may not be any plans. We are up for quite a busy week. Every day something is scheduled! I have also decided to do a quick recap of what we actually did versus what I thought we were going to do.
This Week
Monday-Today S and I will finish up making all of our treats for the neighbors and we have to make a few apple pies. I have a dentist appointment in the afternoon with a new dentist. I am kind of nervous but after my old dentist told me I had three cavities and when I got a second opinion he did not agree with me having any cavities, it was time for a change. We may make a drive out to a local town because the Maumee River is way above stage levels and B and I love to go see how high it has gotten and where it flooded.
Tuesday-Today is Christmas Eve and we are going to be running from family to family and celebrating Christmas.
Wednesday-Merry Christmas! Today I will be celebrating with family.
Thursday-I think today will be a recovery day from the madness of the past two days. I think I may have to make a trip out to Target and pick up a few holiday items at 50% off. I would like to get the items cheaper, but I don’t want to miss out on them either. I’ll get them at 50% and if I can find them cheaper I will get them again.
Friday-B is going back to work tonight. As of now we have no plans.
Saturday-Today we don’t have any plans and I am okay with that.
Sunday-Again no plans for today.
Last Week Recap
Monday we hung out at home. Tuesday I went and got my hair cut. I desperately needed a hair cut and was only too happy when B’s cousin was able to get me in because someone cancelled. S went and played at my mom’s with F. Later S and I worked on our gingerbread people for our tree farm.
Wednesday S and I worked on wrapping presents in the afternoon and then headed to my sister’s for her little 40th dinner birthday. When we got home from the birthday dinner S and I finished our gingerbread tree farm.
Thursday we hung out at home and played outside in the snow. We built S’s first snow tunnel and he just kept climbing through it having a great time.
Friday B was off work and we ran to Costco and then went to S’s cousin’s birthday party later that night. S had such a great time playing with his cousins. He loves playing with his cousin L.
Saturday we hung out at home and wrapped all of S’s presents after he went to bed. It was so funny watching B try to put his drum set together. B was messing around with the drum set and banged on the bass drum or cymbal and could not believe how loud they were. He about jumped out of his pants he was so surprised. I could not stop laughing at him.
Sunday S and I were busy making treats. We tried making marshmallows for the first time. We are not cutting them until today so I do not know how they turned out. We made chocolate covered pretzels with caramel (they taste just like a Twix) and sprinkles. I also made some banana bread for B and S. They both love it and we had some old bananas so why not.
Last Week
Monday-S and I are planning on staying home and hopefully will start wrapping presents. Since S wants to help me so it is going to take 5 times longer than it would if I did it myself.
Tuesday-Today I need to work on finishing S’s Snapfish books that I do every year for the grandparents. It always seems to be a tight squeeze to get them back by Christmas Eve.
Wednesday-As of right now, we need to go pick up S’s birthday pictures and then we are heading to my sister’s for her 40th birthday.
Thursday-S and I have errands to run to Costco and then I hope to be able to come home and work on S’s thank you cards for his birthday.
Friday-B is off until next Friday so our little Christmas vacation starts. As of now nothing is planned so we will be finishing up any last minute details for Christmas.
Saturday-As of now I have no idea what we are doing. The weekend before Christmas I am sure something will come up.
Sunday-As of now I have no idea again what we are doing.
